I get an alert every time I go to a new page about tap talk. Is there any way to turn that off?

No option exists in the Admin CP for it. Perhaps there is an option when you are using tapatalk itself. I can look later through the actual file though to see if I can find anything.

It is annoying. Pops up on my Android phone and Chrome on the computer.
 
The only option is if you are subscribed to a thread and a new reply happens you are suppose to get a notification. You also should get one when you get sent a new PM.
 
The notification seems to go away after awhile, though maybe not for everyone.

I find that the Chrome extension is wonkier than I'd like. It has a number that shows how many PMs/posts you have to read, but there's no way to affect the number; it just does its own thing. But if mobile users have a better time, it's worth it.

Okay, so obviously I'm sure the question on everyone's minds is: "DNA's a mod; am I dreaming?" The answer is yes. Now come here so that I may pinch you.

I'm sure a lot of you have been expecting this, though...and by expecting, I mean 'waiting patiently for years on end'...which is understandable; I'm sure many of you have always wondered "why does DNA get passed over while [insert name of choice here] gets promoted?" (names obviously removed to protect the innocent). The amusing part is that I never cared one way or the other whether or not I got modded. Even now, I still don't; I have always wanted to help out PB in whatever capacity, no matter where I stand. I've always acted on what I've believed to be the best thing for me to do; I don't intend to change that.

I'm not in it for the fame, the money, the prestige, or the women - but those are some pretty nice perks and I will not deny that. I had the women before this job, though, so I don't think that counts.

And most importantly, I want to help you guys. Yeah, you - the members I've always loved to stick up for and voice your causes, and was definitely not afraid to risk getting in trouble to do so. I have mod powers now and that means I can be a lot more effective in this regard, but I'll need all your guys' help to do so. After all, everyone's courage gives me power.

And for anyone who wants a tl;dr version of this post in 10 words or less, here:
"Aww yeah I'm green; let's do this together. VICTORY SCREECH!!"

If "DNA for Admin 2012" is going to become a reality, I must ascend the ladder one step at a time.
But I totally agree with you regardless.

This is true; I don't want to risk getting a nasty infection or something! (given my present line of work) Thank you very much for the heads-up.
