Also you. An infection could probably kill you. So yeah, we don't want that.
 
Also, I just want to remind everyone that early morning the forums will be down for a while for me to update them.
 
I have updated the forum successfully. We also have a new chat page which can be found here. Your forum username is the default it puts for your nickname. You can still connect to the chat with mIRC if you want. If you connect that way use asm.mznation.com as the server name.
 
I love how the subject title line can only be 85 characters long, making it a hassle to post on certain threads in the news forum.

I have now increased it. If WPM wants it to be decreased again I can do that.
 
The profile comment interface looks terrible now. It doesn't even completely stay inside its little box.
 
Should be fixed now. I wanted to see if I could get the BBCode editor there to look ok.
 
Apparently bios now cap at 5000 characters now? Why 5000? A better question is why is there even a cap?
...also I don't know if this is just me, but the 'Change Signature' button in the User CP is missing.
 
Where did all the signatures go, cause now that I have found you oh you're the only one I see, I see.

This question of mine wasn't answered. I'm not sure why there was even a need to lower (or even institute) a cap in the first place; the default of 65536 should have been just fine.

I know there are multiple people on the forums whose bios easily exceed 10000 characters, and they're not even all that bad. Heck, mine (which I counted as being somewhere around 33K) is actually largely informative, and I trim and tweak it on a regular basis so it doesn't get too large.

I can't help but feel I was specifically being targeted here. So why?
 
It has ~6K words, but ~33K characters. There's a huge difference.
 
There is no reason you have to have a mile long bio. It is only suppose to be a couple sentences about yourself. It is not a spam zone. If you need somewhere to keep some things I suggest using the notepad in your User CP. When it gets close to the maximum just download it to your computer.
 
Note to self: Never buy Mark's autobiography; it'll only be ten pages long.

Anyways, I'm back here to point out that I'm still getting the subject title length error. Even this post had its subject title shortened, so it's not just me.
 
Subject lines the maximum is 200. If it isn't letting you post a reply to that thread maybe something is wrong with your browser.
 
Well, it's clearly multi-browser issue then, because IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera are giving me the same error message.

Not to mention that even after you say it's fixed, the last four people there has shortened their subject title for their posts, so the issue is definitely lingering.
