RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

Is anyone else excited about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2? Is anyone lucky enough to have tickets to the midnight showing? (tickets for that have been sold out for like a month where I live, so I'm not that lucky)
To anyone who is reading this after having seen it, how was it?

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I have midnight tickets for tonight, lilmissblcksunshine. I'm seeing it in 3D -- something I haven't done before. Definitely pumped, though!

O-M-G: Rise of the Planet of the Apes. With James Franco. <3
Looks like a pretty good prequel, especially with all the new digital animation.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I saw HP: DH Part 2 in 3D last night at 12:01. It was a nice end to a decade of the movies, and I'm not afraid to admit I teared up at the end.

The Dark Knight has officially been toppled. I can't believe that it was the last Harry Potter movie that would do the deed.

RE: Movie Discussion Thread II

I do agree with the Social Network as a great movie.

I've watched Once, Megamind, and Ink, within the past two days. I must say, they are all appealing and very notable for being unique in their own way.

Once: For being a low budget film, it made great music. It had great emphasis of cussing though. As do other R movies. The music was just outstanding, I heard Falling Slowly on the soundtrack, but to actually hear it in the movie was so much better for some reason. The ending was a bit sad, but at least everything seem to be resolved.

Megamind: I was actually surprised on how good this movie was. I was expecting something like Monsters vs. Aliens. This portrayed a new type of villain movie. The details are improving a lot, the humor was great, and Will Farrel is the best.

Ink:Another R movie. The first three words can pretty much tell you why it is rated what it is rated. The characters are really great and the music is even better. It was meant to be a scary film, but after watching Marble Hornets, I wasn't as scared. This movie never made it to theaters, or really anything public. A movie worth picking up.
