I got the coolest idea.
Next time I go to the grocery store, I'm gonna buy marshmallows, purple frosting, and something for the eyes and make candy Rarities. I'll post pictures too.
But what could I use for the eyes and cutie mark?

Yea, frosting or something else for the cutie mark would be too hard since I'm making them only a couple inches tall.
I could use chocolate chips for the eyes, since blue M&Ms might be too big.

You could get M&M minis. Or candy coated chocolate chips.

They won't be exactly like her. I'd mold the marshmallows to points and curves, but then nobody would find it appetizing to see that my fingers were all over them.
Should I make a giant Rarity marshmallow with more precise details and maybe a candy outfit (so there's no marshmallow overload)? Then make miniature ones with the remaing marshmallows?

I'll definatly post pics. That's 20 percent--nah, jk, 50 percent of why I'm doing this project. The other reason is cuz I haven't eaten a marshmallow in a loooong time.
Also, I'm gonna need pictures of Rarity in her assorted outfits for the giant Rarity. For the miniature ones they won't have any clothes on. This thread seems to mostly have pics and animations already, so you ponies and bronies should be skilled in your craft

RARITY LOL. Rainbow dash would be nearly impossible. All I need for Rarity is marsmallows, popsicle sticks, purple frosting, and stuff for the mane.

just use gloves. issue resolved =) and make them not stick to the gloves with powdered sugar.
