RE: Pocket Monsters XY Discussion
First of all, did anybody else, after the old man got home, got a feeling of being watching a Pokémon version of Hansel & Gretel? I knew that the old lady wouldn't be evil but things got a weird feeling around and it looked like Chespin was going to be a victim (it was indeed)!
Secondly, thank Arceus T.Rocket wasn't around. I didn't noticed their absence and only after reading the comments on Youtube about they being missing did I say "Oh yeah, that's right..." so this unfortunately says something about their role in the anime.
The story was great. I was kind of sad when by the end of that Mega Mega Mecha Meowth episode, Chespin seemed to be less greedy and more conscious about sharing but seeing those macarrons missing again due to that now chubby Chespin was hilarious (it's just storing up energy and fat for evolution
)
I wasn't angry about Clemont being the cooker and having all those cooking instruments because since he's always coming up with inventions out of its pockets then we can assume that all that set can just be automatically folded and stored.
It was cute to again see Eureka in her Tyrantrum pajama and her tent was also cute. Oh, and the mimicking (I think that's the word) of Pokémon was funny and the Weedle at the end inspiring Serena was also just simple but very clever (I'm guessing that that Weedle appearing it's also a nod to older fans used to those camping out episodes, Misty's relation wih bugs and, more importantly and something that now happens just a couple of times, Ash & Co. getting lost in a forest...I may be reading too much from just a single Weedle but that's the feeling I got when watching it).
I knew that the old lady couldn't be talking about Delphox when saying that the attack would break the body, that Delphox didn't seemed so old and her trainer, but it was funny nevertheless. Oh yeah and that story about the lady being fat...I loved how they included something that, I think, might happen between a couple!!!
Edit: I was hoping that the attack would be Blast Burn instead of Mystical Fire!
Despite knowing that it wasn't because of him that Chespin "floated" away, at first I was kind of cheering for him on not getting upset but then again, that's what happens when they don't bond and in the end it's all the creators fault for not making more episodes about trainers bonding with their Pokémon because it just seemed that Clemont captured Chespin and never again left it out of his Pkball (about adventure because when talking about episodes that's more or less what happened and I was having trouble remembering that Chespin served as decoy in that vivillion episode). MORE BONDING PLEASE. I want to see more Fennekin, more Froakie, more Dedenne (the next episode will answer this I hope), more Fletchling, more Bunnelby, more everybody, even trainers. This travelling team is one of the best..damn, it is the best, not even Misty and Brock were that good when it comes to personality, so i want to see more of their interaction with each other; it would might be considered a filler but I want at least one episode with that kind of filler!!
In the end, a nice and soft episode.
A small note about the previous episode: in the Pokémon world an umbrella is something rare that is only used to protect from the sun and to be used by elegant ladies that get a nickname from their acessory!
It's raining? Invade people's home instead of having a small umbrella that fits every backpack and that uses less space than a tent and a cooking set...and probably a folding bike!
