It looks so good! I love this design, and the name is right on the money. I know some people really wanted it to be water/electric or water/fire, but it makes no difference to me. Excellent evolution in my book.

Been lurking around the boards and the home page forever, but decided now to make a post!
Seems as if the Clauncher (haven't got used to the new name yet) is in the E4 possibly? Water Elite 4 member becoming a high possibility?

The article got taken down. Either it was fake, or Nintendo got to it. I would agree, that would be a really nice twist on the usual rival character. Doubt GF would do this in a "kid-friendly" game though :/

Wow, now that is a BIG Claw. With that size he's easily the B.F.G of the Pokemon world with ease. Not even Genesect's laser cannon gives it a run for the money. Looking at the picture though, it appears only the claw really evolved but the rest of the Pokémon in general...didn't change as much, and stays kind of small (unless I'm mistaken on this). Still like the HUGE claw. He's small but he's surely going to hit hard. His ability could have been something different though....
Looking at his stats, just as expected, his speed is abysmal, but this is without a doubt because of that titan-sized claw he has. In return, however, he appears to make it up with a good amount of Special Attack, Special Defense and Defense, and doable HP and Attack. Without a doubt, he's a more of a stand-still artiliery unit that can take the enemy hits and dish them out in return. A offensive and defensive-focused Pokémon.

Well, what about Mystery Dungeon 2? There was some definite main character/partner shipping there, especially when you, as you are disappearing, tell your partner to live for them. Plus, in BW2, you went on dates with the guy/gal that you could call sometimes.

I found it weird how Clawitzer seems to have more SpA than Atk.
I mean, if anything Crawdaunt and especially Kingler has shown us, being a crustacean with big pincers automatically grants you a high Attack stat. Even being showcased as learning Swords Dance and Crabhammer, Clawitzer ended up having a high SpA instead. While this is a good twist to an obvious expectation, I can't seem to imagine it abusing a Special movepool unless it gets like Flamethrower/ Thunderbolt.

Yeah, that's true. But in BW2, that was an optional part to the game and most people probably wouldn't even see it. I felt the Mystery Dungeon one was more just friendship than shipping.

My logic is that if it is a crustacean like Kingler/ Crawdaunt, one would assume it to be Physically based instead of Special.
But I have to admit, I forgot about the pistol shrimp part. Thanks for pointing that out. Makes sense to me now.
