Is it really disappointing if they stop, though? There are so many other pokemon with room for new evolutions, and infinite possibilities for entirely new pokemon lines. Aren't there enough Eeveelutions? They all kind of look awfully alike anyway

I would definitely not say that they all look alike, the beauty of them to me is the fact that they're so diverse. Each one has a completely different take on a quadrupedal fox/cat-like mammal. Of course they will have to have a few minor similarities being that they all evolve from the same Pokemon, but again, thats part of what makes them all awesome. Getting a new Eeveelution design is just as good if not better than a new species, to me at least.

So, in short, yes, not getting another would be pretty disappointing to me and a lot of others. :c

Nobody would've thought Charizard (one of the most popular pokemon) would ever get an evolution (well, mega-evolution, but you get the point) and it still did. It makes money and sells, why would they stop?

Thats what I'm hoping at least. But then again, I would not want an Eeveelution made with the focus of what sells the best. Sylveon is pretty nice looking, but at the same time, I feel like it is heavily targeted towards sales, a "poster child" so to speak (as well as the entire Fairy type,) particularly to grab more at the female fanbase... Kinda like the reason they still keep Jigglypuff in Smash Bros (imo, at least.)
They have done this before with a few TCG sets targeted towards girls.

Anyway. I see where you're getting at, but at the same time, Bogleech could be right and maybe they've figured they have run the Eeveelutions dry and that people are beginning to lose interest in the focus and purpose of the Pokemon, Eevee. Eevee was technically meant to evolve into what best suited its environment, not for what attacks it felt like using, hence the technical term "evolution" (or adaptation.) But no one will really ever know until the games are released. I only hope for the best. D:

Umbreon and Espeon were released alongside each other. There's just one eeveelution this time, and it's probably the last as well.

i hope it's not the last. then again, i'm the one that hopes they'll eventually be an eeveevolution for each type some day. i do know that won't happen though.

Lol don't worry so much there is no way this is the last eeveelution. Eevee is one of the most popular pokemon and game freak tends to give the popular ones a lot of attention, im sure there will be an eeveelution for every type and maybe even a gender specific eeveelution at some point so dont worry to much

Exactly. Eeveelutions are one of the more original ideas Pokemon has come out with. I mean, a single Pokemon being able to evolve into a whole plethora of types? It's exciting thinking of the possibilities. Sure, the attention of every generation shouldn't just be on Eeveelutions, as they tend to skip a generation anyway. Just because a minor percentage of fans think they're "used up" while the other majority appreciates them for how original they are.

This isn't backed up with logic or evidence in the slightest. Even if Sylveon is the only Eeveelution this generation in an attempt to keep the spotlight on the Fairy type, I doubt GF will say "Well we broke pattern and only released one. Guess we can't release the other 10 types..."

I hope they continue forever. Just because hey, they can. They can do dual types if they want, the possibilities are endless.

Yeah, I'm really hoping on the Eevee's continuing and those are some good points. I've never personally thought of them as used up, definitely not. As far as dual-type eeveelutions go... lol, I think that would completely defeat the purpose, I'd be fine if they just had one eeveelution per type. I had always hoped that one day there would be.

It is true that just because only one eeveelution may be released this gen, doesn't mean that it's an end to all eeveelutions... it would kinda feel weird not completing the types and stopping right in the middle.
All in all though, there are fairly valid reasons supporting both sides of the eeveelution situation... only time will tell.

The Pokemon center looks nice! And i can see our outfit-changing rooms there in the left part

There is no pattern: 3, 2, 0, 2, 0. Remember that Eeveelutions have elemental powers drawn from their environment. Fairy already contradicts this idea, as a fairy isn't a natural element, but it's at least a good excuse to show off a new type. A Bug type eeveelutions just would't make sense. I guess you could argue for a Ground or Rock type eeveelutions, but that's all.

If there was a second eeveelution, we would have known about it by now. Be realistic, that what you want is not always that what you get.

I am really glad they are keeping the Pokemart and the Pokecenter together.
I wonder if they thougt to make the text, of what the nurse says every time she heals your team, shorter.

If there was a second eeveelution, we would have known about it by now. Be realistic, that what you want is not always that what you get.

Just like people weren't thinking Honedge would evolve. . .
Knowing how they work, there very well could be a second Eeveelution, unfortunately, we may very well not know until we play the game.

Me too, it's a hassle to run between them.
It's probably even longer to try and get players to get the best trainer card they can so it can be shortened. XD

There could be spoilers and leaks in the coming weeks. However only take them if they have sufficient proof; it's highly likely that we'll see some stuff - storyline, various new Pokemon, evolved forms of Pokemon we've already seen (fake starters are going to be everywhere, so if you happen to come across one or two they'll more than likely be fake), new attacks, abilities, Mega Evos, items etc.

Yeah, there has already been quite a few rumours circulating already.

Apparently Chespin's final evolution is named Jaegernut (or possibly Juggernut) and is Grass/Dark.

I don't know, Kyubixen seems an odd name for me, it's two word derived from same things, basically a fox. And kyubi is basically nine-tails, and we already have Ninetales for that. So, meh. :v

If it's true that Volkner, N, Flannery or some other character from previous games made an appearance, i would be so happy! Need some hero/heroine from previous game too, it'll be interesting.
