Great episodes, and they still have the japanese music. Woot!

Annoyingly though, they're only on youtube as either poor quality or mirrored... So frustrating.

Awe.... so I guess Pidove is pronounced Pie-dove. I remember PMJ said somewhere that it would be pronounced Pi(as in pidgeon) and dove(as in dove). I guess Mods aren't perfect after all. :p

Yeah, and Unova is pronounced "you-NO-vah". I thought it would be more Latin, like "oo-NOH-vah"

I watched it with closed captions, just for jollz. The captions read "Kanoko Town" when Ash said "Nuvema Town". Shows how much the caption writers know. Aren't they supposed to be given the same script that the voice actors get?

Anywho, they did a great job preserving the original meaning. I had previously watched a fan-captioned version of the first episode, and the dub lined up 95% perfectly.

The fact that Jessie and James are bad-ass doesn't bother me at all, though I'd bet an abridger would use that as a joke.

I thought the intro was horribly cut up from the Japanese version, personally. It just doesn't flow, you can tell if you've seen the original how choppy it is. At least the music was alright.

Glad to see Who's that Pokémon made a comeback, though, that was certainly a welcome surprise.

Overall, not bad. Can't wait to see more--I'll probably keep up with both versions, at least for a little while. I can't see myself giving up on the Japanese version anytime soon!

Well I like it a bit but to me I did not like a few things in it but I don't want to get on anyone's bad side but here it is:
  • Destroy the chain (In every episode when Ash runs into a girl who follows him there bike get destroyed by Pikachu)
  • There theme animation (To me it look a little poor)
  • Rush in (They push allot of secret in those 2 episodes)
  • Pikachu's Iron Tail (Look different from the other time he use it)

But I still find it special but they need to learn to put more a thrill in it. More were you just want to jump on your feet wondering what would happen. But I figured so much in those 2 Episodes. But I don't want to step on anyone's toe here but it will be a blast figuring out one thing. Who is this Secret Team that Team Rocker (Jessy, Jame, Meowth) were order to uncover? (Knowing how the pokemon move is it's Team [Something] like how there was Team Magma, Team Aqua, Team Rocket)

Iron tail animation is great, quiet you.

With regards to the opening animation, I think it's as good as a chopped up version could ever be. We still get the flow, from forests to the city, and then the world.

I am so happy that they did "Who's That Pokemon" again, it made me think of the old days, when I was younger, liking Pokemon!

Also, I forgot to mention that I really liked Team Rocket. They weren't as idiotic as they used to be, but they were by no means stone-cold and poker faced.

I said I didn't want to step on anyone's toe I was only giving my opinion. After all there is a show you hate but someone else love. And I watch pokemon for years and I like it and it is just a start. I might grow to like there new upgrade on it.

Pokemon Smash preview showed that Cabinet in episode 19(Her names actually Cabernet, but i prefer my version) has a Sawsbuck, and she's battling it against Cilan's Pansage.

I just finished watching both episodes, and I love how much they stressed the fact that "Wow! Wow! What's that! Oh! Man! Everything's new!"

But, I don't get why they called people from Kanto "boonies?"

I still can't get over the fact that Ash is still 10 years old. I laughed so hard when Ash's mom said: "I wonder how much he'll grow after this journey." YEAH RIGHT!! HE WON'T GROW ONE BIT!! He'll probably get even younger. I bet the creators are laughing at all of us right now.

Ash is most likely never going beyond being 10 years old. The creators just don't want to age him, but he will grow in experience in training/battling but just not age-wise.

I don't understand why y'all are so hung up on this... It happens every single time a new journey begins. It has to, for the sake of narrative continuity. He starts off weak, IE losing to trip in a 5v5, for example, and will, throughout the course of the series, become a better trainer. Eventually, he'll beat all the gym leaders and enter the league, where he'll probably make the top 16 and then lose.

Mark. My. Words.

nope ash has the league this time round top two last last time but jacked by some cheap bastard who likes legendaries every series he go farther. And really after 4 regions ash still needs to be told he has to battle and weaken a pokemon before he catches it and he looses to a new trainer with a pokemon who has never battled before even with out the electric moves Pikachu should have crushed Snivy.
