RE: Pokemon Plotholes!

If Team Magma/Aqua unleashes Groudon/Kyogre, they will destroy the world and wipe out humanity. Exactly how is that beneficial for either group? :p

Why do we do all the work and Ash takes credit? T_T

Good point! ^_^

Here's one:

Why doesn't Ash age?! And why isn't Professor Oak deceised (dead) yet? And please don't tell me that "it's a kids' show" for an excuse.

That, Jamtok, has been one of my biggest wonders of the Pokemon anime since it first came out. I agree; Ash should be a lazy 20-something-year-old couch potato still living with his mom. Oak should be dead already (along with Rowan. But not Birch or Elm. WHY DO ALL THE PROFESSERS HAVE TO BE NAMED AFTER TREES?!) And personally, I don't care whether this is a kids show, or if it were on Adult Swim. The characters should still age. Ash has been 10 or 11 years old for the past 10 years. (You can really tell that I no longer follow the anime. It sucks now. Deal.)

Ash has aged at least a year from when he began his journey at ten. This is canon. But it's debateable how much time has passed between then and his current adventures in Sinnoh.

The main reason why little to no signs of aging can be seen though is because the show is cyclical. New kids are always showing up to fill the voids of children who grew out of the series, when this is the case the producers have no reason to age anyone.

here's one :p

Why would the Pokemon League Association allow a crime-lord like Giovanni to be a Gymleader?

Not very, but because Pokemon is what it is, they wouldn't make it that powerful that they ever would. Even if they had the power to do such a thing, Nintendo wouldn't make it that way. If the world was done for, there would be no other games, episodes, or Pokemon to make and get sales from. :p

If you really think about it, all legendaries have the ability to destroy the world except for some of the smaller ones, and by having Ash or the Pokemon trainer in each game defeat every one of them, it allows the Pokemon series in all aspects to keep going. Realisticly, it is a huge plot hole in itself having Ash and every Pokemon game trainer defeat all of the powerful Pokemon impossible to defeat. I mean, Dialga can control time but the trainer in DP can defeat it without a sweat. :)

RE: Pokemon Plotholes!

Idk if this is a plothole or not but in the anime, how do they never run out of money or food, when as far as we know, they have no income.

RE: Pokemon Plotholes!

Seriously, do you want to watch them do that? It's a given, but unless we're watching them 24/7 (which we aren't) there's no reason to put it on-screen.

RE: Pokemon Plotholes!

Hahahaa! yeah, nobody wants to see that.
well if they were constipated they wouldnt be able to go would they?

RE: Pokemon Plotholes!

How do their air the episodes, 1 per day, 1 per week? The timeline might be a lot shorter. Then there's the episodes which is just a continuation of the previous one, which might only end up as an hour or two. Plus, I seriously doubt it'll take a year for them to trek through the whole region, though we don't have a base marker to go from. I believe Littleroot to Oldale was about a half-day, wasn't it? So... shouldn't take that long.

That DOES make it a rather short trek around the region though. Also, the fact that most of the girls that join Ash are supposed to be 10 years old, though they look 18 at the least.

RE: Pokemon Plotholes!

I know. These points are so silly. This thread is starting to slip from Pokemon gaming plotholes to anime plotholes. But there are plotholes everywhere with Pokemon? It just couldn't be Pokemon without them. And also, in the game, you can beat a Pokemon game in a week, whereas in reality, it would take you absolutely forever to travel an entire region. That's almost with every RPG game though so that's not exactly much of a point... :)

RE: Pokemon Plotholes!

Heres one, It says that if a Charmanders fire goes out it dies, but you can use a Charmander underwater.

RE: Pokemon Plotholes!

Rofl!

Dusknoir picks up radio waves from the spirit world. What'll happen if it was in Goldenrod City?

RE: Pokemon Plotholes!

^^ Oh snap; nice one Nefarious!

How does a Mankey grow those punk-wristbands when it evolves into a Primeape? (Turning emo, huh?) XD
