You should be able to fit in two lines of text either above or below the banner. I hope this helps those people that are cramped for space in their sig.



Also... Is ther banner just for sigs, or is it also going to be displayed on the main page? Just curious since I've seen some places that uses a particular banner for both their sig and their thread.

Effect: 7/10 Maybe it's just me and my lol eyesight, but the text is a little difficult for me to read. I don't think I should have to try too hard to read a word, especially the "Fifteen losers." that doesn't really look good on Jolteon, I think. Also, the text is way overshadowed by the giant Leafeon in the back. I see that way before I see any text.
Color Usage: 9/10 Lots of Eeveelutions means free colors, and you don't got stuff like blue Flareons so, cool.
Effort: 10/10 I can see effort in the whole piece, and in Project Custom as a contest. Keep it up!
Originality: 7/10 I agree with B-Ray, we know you like Eevee and friends, but we've seen it already.

Also, "lifestyle" is one word, not two. The color chosen for the text was terrible. It took some serious strain to read your slogan. Just... no.

Effort: 6/10 It looks like you cut something out of a default Windows desktop background, pasted the logo, and wrote text. Add a white square and voila!
Originality: 7/10 I know for a fact I've seen numerous banners in my time that said "Blank: It's more than a Blank, it's a way of life/lifestyle!" You make it sound like a clan.
Relation to the Challenge/Slogan: 10/10 You have Smeargle but I almost completely missed it so you can keep the point.

Effect: 8/10 Nice work. Only real beef I got is the Randomly Capitalized Letters you have on the top. It's Annoying, and bad Grammar. Only Pokemon should have been capitalized. If you had at least done the Same Thing to the Bottom, you'd at Least have scored some Consistency Points, But that isn't The case Here.
Color Usage: 9/10 Very nice. It's one of the first banners I can actually read without trying to read it.
Effort: 9/10 I would have chosen a different font for the slogan. Perhaps the same as the logo, but in a different color. Still looks nice.
Originality: 9/10 "The #1 anything" sounds so cliche.

Randomly capitalized By should not be so. And that colon after the word by makes me want to hurt someone. It just looks bad. Your "custom" is cut off at the end too.
Color Usage: 1/10 A plain background... a bad font color, and a Smeargle that does not belong at all, in any sense of the word.
Effort: 3/10 I could do better, and that's saying something. It looks like it was slapped together in like 20 minutes in Paint.
Originality: 5/10 Everyone's using Smeargle. The rest of it, ugh. Nothing special about it at all.
Relation to the Challenge/Slogan: 5/10 There's not even a description of what Project Custom is. It's not sponsored by Artisan Cave. I would hate to have my name attached to this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't questions like the "who will be #1" below the name end in a question mark? I think so. Brought to you by Black Rayquaza, nice. The actual Ray blends in with the picture too much - it's pretty hard to see quickly. The logo looks like it was randomly thrown in the corner just for the sake of using it.
Color Usage: 6/10 There's almost none at all. Paste the Ray, paste the logo, purple background, same color border, done.
Effort: 7/10 This couldn't have taken THAT long.
Originality: 8/10 A black Rayquaza, dur hur hur funny. And hey, no Smeargle!

But I think that just by doing the swirly color thing you've doomed yourself to have any text color down there looking bad.

Effect: 7/10 I'm torn on this. I like the text effect you did with the rainbowness. I can read it easily. A brick wall background... that's different. What I don't like are the 14 or 15 seemingly RANDOM Pokemon thrown in there. A couple of them make for good backgrounds for the text, but it's just way too random for my taste.
Color Usage: 7/10 Lots of Pokemon, lots of colors, but it's way too random.
Effort: 6/10 Looks like multiple paste jobs, end with some text and bam.

AS & PMJ- Woulda been better if you woulda posted the scores at the end, but thats fine.....

I really believe most people missed the point of this tournament. Just because Aqua Smeargle is a judge dosent mean this is an Artisan Cave contest by ANY stretch of the imagination.....I, personally had the ideas for Project Custom, and asked the judges to help me run it. In fact, the sole reason I asked Aqua Smeargle to judge was because of his excellent banner making skills.....I could care less about Artisan Cave. One of the main points of this challenge was to see how many stereotyped art in general into Smeargle, if your combining Art and Pokemon. But if anyone were to take a closer look at the title (Project Custom for all you people too lazy) you'll see that Its the complete opposite. Hence why you lose originality points. The quicker you learn how to make it Custom, the more original your art will get. I hope there is no hard feelings over this post, and I do not wish to make any. I am solely explaining the purpose of not only this tournament, but this challenge specifically.

I don't know if the people incorporated smearge because of artisan cave or because, well, smeargle is the only artist pokemon. You can't blame people for associating smeargle with art; however you can take off points when they use it on a custom project.

BTW, Wes1234, sorry for mutilating your banner to cram it into my sig with the other one.

To be honest, that didn't suprise me. Since Smeargle learns Sketch, it's only natural that everyone's first urge is to use Smeargle in anything that is suppose to resseamble art. Of course, my second thought told me to avoid Smeargle at any cost. But I can understand Smeargle being so overly used.

That points irrelevant -_- Everyone should know by now this is Project Custom and is incorporated into Custom Art. Either Way you put it, weather its relating it to Artisan Cave or the general stereotype of Smeargle being the art pokemon, its not Custom by any means. Again, the points irrelevant.....either way you put it, it missed the point of the challenge.

Yeah Wes I had to do a bit of mutilating of my own to get both Mawile and your shrunken banner to fit next to each other in my sig. Man, sometimes that Mawile is a lot more trouble than she's worth... the image looks small but the actual picture is gigantic considering what it's of. I hate trying to make stuff fit with it.

Man this thread is gonna have a lot of Wes's signatures in it, it's gonna get real confusing who's posting what. But what's this? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It's Mini-Mawile come to say "Hey, that's PMJ's post right there!!" For a limited time only.

Also B-Ray I'll be sure to add everyone's scores to the bottom next time. I'm so glad there's gonna be one less to do. :D
