Well theres some good news that comes out of all this :] I got my computer back from my dads house (was using the laggy home computer) so now I can have no more ISE's or popups and stuff. But I gotta wait till this afternoon to get all my files (my stick drive isnt big enough for all my art
) but once I do that, it'll be good.

Well, its tonight so Im running with what we have and were moving on. I think this challenge was a fun one to do, and I hope people saw the importance of feedback in Project Custom. My main goals in this challenge was to see what you could do on your own, show you guys the importance of Feedback, and to add a fun and exciting twist to Project Custom. I believe I've done all of those.
Lets move on to the Winner of this challenge.....this was an easy decision for all judges, taking #1 on each of their leaderboards. Congrats Bellomence you win again.....great work. You have made it to The Finals. Since you already have gotten in, you have no use for immunity. Instead, you will win +1 Vote to win the next challenge automatically. Congrats!
Now onto the loser of this challenge.....this was a hard vote between two artists. With three votes, INFERNAPE is out. You have had a great run in Project Custom and I wish you the best of luck in the future weather it be Shops or more contests of your own. I hope to see more of your work! I also hope you keep following Custom and add some comments on whats going on! Thanks for your activeness.

This is definately a great Final 3, full of great artists. But Before we go to the Final tournament, we have one more challenge. UH OH
Challenge #7-The Fanfic Challenge! Please write a Pokemon-Related Chapter of a completely new Story. It has to be 800-1000 words. Anymore will be disqualified for this challenge and cannot be the winner.
Please take note of the different rubric that will be used. (its in the first post)
Now you may be wondering why there is another challenge before the Finals. Well, I've showed you the results of what happens when there is no feedback, and now, your going to be fighting for it. The Winner of this challenge will be the only one that recieves feedback from me in the Trainer Pass Round. Since this is the most important feedback in Project Custom (since its the Finals and Im the creator) this is definately worth fighting for. Please Make a separate thread in the Writing Corner and Title it "_________-Project Custom Challenge #7 Entry. The ___ is where the title should go. Since there is no Feedback, other people may comment on the storys, except for Project Custom judges. However I ask that there is no constructive or any kind of critism for that matter. Only positive things and I also ask that once you post your entry that you do not edit your post. I will be saving them on my computer and If I see that they are different for anything other than fixing errors, you will be disqualified from this challenge and cannot be the winner. This Challenge ends Friday March 28th 2008 at 10 PM EST. This date seems fitting as writing a chapter dosent take more than 2 hours. The rest can be used for thought. If you do not finish, you have 24 Hours from the end date to turn it in. If you have already used your late day and do not turn it in you will be disqualified from this challenge and cannot win this challenge. In addition, if you fail to complete this challenge, and do not turn anything in you will recieve -1 Vote in the Final Tournament.

It may be kinda hard to keep other random people from posting crit in the story threads, but I suppose it won't matter if editing is not allowed.

My sig is like... constantly changing every 2 months or so... lol My definition of full is one big banner. lol There's not really anything else to place in my sig, anyways and I'd like to use all the space I can.
Pretty good mini-banner. It may be just me, but I've never liked "too-simple" looks. Barring my personal preferences, it's great. xD

Well, seeing that the whole banner - the Finals logo was made from scratch, It was simple but excuted the appeal I was looking for. The neon I loved working with, I'll be definately using that in the future.

If not I'm going to be giving some major comments ofr the fan-fics, something I can actually relate to and give great comments or scores on. That being said, I know we've had 2 judges who haven't been living up to their bargin and will gladly temp for one of them if you need it.

Not that I'm trying to press an argument, nor am I trying to say it sucks (which is doesn't, anyways), but I'm not so sure that it would qualify as a logo since it has a background. lol As for the from-scratch part, I don't doubt it. I was just saying that it has that "very simple" feel. Some people like things to appear like that. I'm just not one of them. That's all. That's because that feeling, for me anyhow, always leaves me wanting to take in more from the image, but can't. That's just me though. I'm not saying it sucks, nor am I even critiquing it much at all. It's really just... me... and the way I like to view art. lol I guess the way I feel is probably comparable to how some people find some good abstract art pieces pointless. Not necessarily to that extent, but I think you see what I mean. It's just not a favored area of art of mine. That's all... *long pause* I don't even know why I brought it up. lol

You will be subbing for Max ShadeIV until further notice. He assured me back in December he'd be checking this thread.....which he hasnt. So yeah....
lol.....well The way I look at it some of the simplest things can be very complex. It had to be simple and to the point.....which it was. It included the logo I wanted, a cool backround that I made, neonish font and a good use of color. My style of art is good, stylish, clean work....you might notice I hardly ever make my work busy in any way....its just how I am. Simple Art gets the people to focus more on what you want them to thats all.

I guess we all look at art differently. lol I guess that explains why I haven't really like your examples by a huge deal. Most of them just left me wanting more, usually in terms of detail. As you can probably tell, I've taken a strong liking to the layout of the Project Custom banner I made since my most recent banner has practically copied that layout. I guess my style right now, although still a bit too general to exactly call it a "style" yet, virtually always includes a fairly complex/unique and detailed background. Anything less drives me insane because I feel that I can do more. lol
I guess it's just our completely different styles that explains why I'm not exactly too found of your mini-banner. Too be brutally honest, and I don't mean to offend you or your style, it looks like something that couldn't have taken more that 30-50 min. I guess that's why I have that "yearning" feeling that I mentioned earlier.

lol, close. It took a little over an hour.....but I had most of my supplies done beforehand. Theres nothing wrong with detail work, but I've found with alot of your pieces that Its just got too much stuff into it. Like the banners are REALLY BIG with many many different things, some that add, some that take away from the piece at least for me.

I can see what you mean. My 2nd round challange (the Project Custom banner one), probably could've done better without the Eevee in the middle. And I know that my 3rd round piece was a complete disaster, even though most others here will probably disagree with me. lol My TC had a little bit going on, but then again, so does any TC. Other than those things, I think that my banners are very good for an amature (sp?) artist, such as myself, though I'm not sure I'm considered that anymore. lol I personally think that with the exception of my first-round challange, my banners are of decent size, especially considering that it perfectly fits PokeBeach's sig limits. ALthough, when letting others use my banner in their sig, I provide a smaller version so they can still fit what they want in their sigs, and the one in my sig currently is no exception.
Oh, and if you want big, you should check out the document sizes I start off with before shrinking the final product. lol They're freaking huge. As in like anywhere from twice to five times the size of the final product (or in my most recent banner's case, 1.5 times the size of the final since the Leafeon and Glaceon images aren't any larger than that). I do this to be sure that I can get in the detail I need without having to scale the whole thing up. After all, scaling up is something you never want to do, seeing as it pixelates everything. lol

Wow.....thats pretty funny....I usually just go 500x200 and thats my standard banner size.....most people use text in their sig and not many people will use a banner that big as they will have to take EVERYTHING out and thats coming from straight experence. Look up my first Trainer Pass thread and check out how big those suckers were. Good times xD
