Okay this topic is starting to get real spammy real quick... let's change the subject, eh?
But before I do, I just want to point out something.
I disagree saying that Doc and Mario are clones of each other. If you've played Mario your whole life in Melee and all of a sudden on a whim choose Dr. Mario, you're not going to perform as well because of their differences (like their fairs as I pointed out way back). Their smash A attacks are also very different. Just because their attacks look similar doesn't mean they do the same thing. None of their moves are identical, save maybe the cape for all intents and purposes.
Mewtwo_93: You've asked like 15 trillion times if Yoshi is going to be in Brawl. Yes, he's in. He's one of the original 12, and a Yoshi-esque theme is shown in the second trailer. Flying Goonies scream Yoshi's name. He is DEFINITELY IN Brawl.
Stop asking. :/ If a character is part of the original 12, he or she is pretty much in. If you want to know if a character from Melee is in Brawl, ask yourself; Does this character have a recent game made for them? If the answer is no, chances are they will not return. This means that Doc Mario and Ice Climbers are undoubtedly gone, G&W is likely, and this is just me hoping here but Roy too because he is a loser. If the answer is yes, then they could be in.
Peach and Zelda WILL be in Brawl, guaranteed. I've already explained why.
Ness is part of the original 12, but his last game was for SNES. Is he in? He should be, the original 12 trump all other characters and will be in the game without a doubt.
Mewtwo has no reason to leave, either. I think he's important enough to stay.
Don't ask about anyone else. We have no idea. Heck, even my predictions could be completely wrong. The only ones that know are Brawl's development team, and until Sakurai specifically confirms a character as in or out, everything we're posting is PURE SPECULATION.
Anyway...
We know one third-party character is Snake. Another will most likely be Sonic. But there's a lot of other companies to choose from, and [supposedly?] just one more spot. Who would be a good, real candidate for the position?
My brother would like to see Sora, which I guess wouldn't be too bad an addition. Something doesn't sound right about him in Brawl, though, but I can't put my finger on it.
I've heard Megaman as a choice, which would also be good, but the question is, which one do you choose? Megaman, X, or .EXE or whatever the one from Battle Network is? They could rule out Megaman as a classic character and use X, which would be pretty cool. I don't know the first thing about Battle Network, so I couldn't tell you anything about the .EXE version.
I got nothing else. Discuss plz kthx.

^Ha, I was going to go on a similar tyrade about spamming but my fingers were tired.
Anyway, regarding the Megaman topic, I think he would just be his normal form for Brawl, but he could turn into X (well, I dunno...maybe) for his Super Smash attack.
Also, this is just my opinion but I hope that there aren't any characters from the Donkey Kong series in this next game. They just annoy me to no end.

He has alot of good points and what hidden vharacters are you talking about?
Guys if you need help about characters in melee to brawl I will try to help. PM me and I will see what I can do. Also try www.google.com to see what you can find on brawl. I definitly do not want the thread locked because my next issue is comming soon and if it is a new character I would like to post it and PLEASE PM me if you need help with melee to brawl or fro the first smashbros or even pokemon.

Well, I think it will be .EXE. As you said "ask yourself: Did this charector have any recent games?". I'm not sure about X, but I've played almost all of the battle network games. One came out very recently. Since the .EXE version can "summon" chips, he could summon his sword chip and attack with it. He could use his mini-bomb, and he could just use his buster. He might use his Wind chip to push people back. Not sure about X, but I know that X doesn't use chips.
Of corse, like PMJ said, this is all speculation. X and .EXE might both be in it.

Megaman X8 was released for the PS2 not too long ago. That's pretty durn recent.
There is a Megaman game for the PSP as well... don't know how much more recent you can get.
Only the most popular third-party character from that character's game will join. Their pals have no chance of making it, so we won't see Protoman/Zero/anyone from MM universe as a playable character.
Perhaps as a cameo somewhere? A trophy, maybe? Same for most friends of popular third-party characters.

There may be a chance if that was released recently and I hope some of the characters besides DK will be in the game. I know it may be the 2nd time to mention it but I would like to see them appear or even eyedol from killer instinct would be good too.

Yes we do. If only three spots are to be filled with third-party characters, there's no way that Sakurai will waste one of them on someone who isn't the main character. That's like adding Haunter as a playable character. It'll never happen.

I hope dogma will be in it his super move would be a cross cut slash where he takes both swords and thrust toward his opponent and slashes in a X symbol.
