Wait, I'm confused. Are you agreeing with me, PMJ, in saying they aren't the same, or are you telling me they are clones? o_O

Or am I missing something, lol.

Dr mario was made after tetris cam out in the early 90's. The only diffrenec between the 2 games is Dr. mario was a game made to destroy virus in abottle and you had t navigate his pills to destroy the bugs that were in the bottle aside from his side scrolling pound em in the ground to save princess peah from bowser.:)

xxashxx, they're not talking about Mario and Dr. Mario in general, they're talking about their movesets in Melee.
We all know that they're way different characters.

Just one more thing im not sure but I read some were that SSBB is for Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. Also for the guy who said sonic has zero percent chance of geting in to Brawl your wrong Snake is not a Nintendo character and he made it in. Also Sonic Team is interested in the idea so do some research befoer you type any your not sure about. K

Sakurai did say he wanted Brawl to be WiFi compatible, but I believe he also said it would be a very hard thing to do. WiFi compatibility would be nice, but I'd hate to lag at a critical moment and end up getting 0wnezd.

And I searched this topic for anyone saying that Sonic had no chance of being in Brawl, and I couldn't find anything.

I did, however, say that Sonic's buddies have no chance of being in Brawl. Perhaps that's what you were referring to?

No no no. I read some were (I think it was my game informer) that sonic team was interested in Brawl and I mean if snake (not a Nintendo Character) could get in Brawl why can't sonic I mean sonic has been working with Nintendo for a long time. Im not saying that he is going to be in it but he my have a chance.

Everyone in this topic agrees with you. Sonic has the best chance of any third-party character to be included in Brawl.

His friends, however, won't be coming along.

I know that but another thing has any one looked closely at the second Brawl trailer? Hint (Yoshi and Baby Mario )

I will give a 99.9% chance he is in if no one found evidence that he is not in the game so that pretty much says he is in unless they say for sure.:)

Maybe they'll be REALLY nice and hint at it by making non-Sonic characters fighting on a Sonic-themed stage in their next trailer...

And xxashxx, I know who/what Dr. Mario is. I was referring to the differences in the movesets Mario and Dr. Mario had in SSBM, like Chansey Master pointed out.

Oh I see but the are basicly the same but their speed and reactions are off between the 2 characters.:)

Actually they are.

They have the SAME moveset but only variations on statistics like speed. You can modify Mario's falling speed, for example, but he still has his own unique moves. Play-style may be different but that does not change the fact clones still have the same moves. If anything, the only clone that is not a clone is Luigi....

IMO, Mario is fairly underpowered when compared to Luigi and Doc. Maybe if they made his fireballs like pills (pill rush ownz) and useful killing moves, then he would be really good. There, a mixture of Doc and Mario while still keeping it as Mario. :D

Ganon and Falco will probably have their own new moveset. Pichu is meant to be a joke character so I guess he could stay in. Young Link, I'm kinda iffy since he's still THE Link but there's a variety of moves he could use from the Zelda series. Doc and Roy (sadly; Marth is much more significant to the series than Roy will ever be since Ron advertising tool while Marth is the ORIGINAL of the series) should be axe'd IMO.

He will because he was one of the original characters so he is in the game.:)
