this will be one long post :d 'cause i'm going to send in 2 movesets

i'll be doing 2 characters, namely: amy rose (from the sonic team) and lucario for the Pokémon

first off: amy rose:

run speed: mediocre
attack speed: comparable to peache's
jump height: fairly high, jumps up straight in first jump, makes a pirouette on second jump
falling speed: mediocre

normal attacks:
A==> hits with hammer for 4%
A repeatadly==> 3 hit-combo with hammer, on 3th hit she swings the hammer upwards consecutive hits hit for 3% and 2% respectively
side tilt A==> swings the hammer on mid-height with fairly strong knockback, hits for 7%
up tilt A==> sticks the hammer upwards, knocking foes back up, hits for 6%
down A==> does a ganondorf-like sweep, hits for 5%
running A==> the moment you press A, she plants her hammer on the ground and uses it as support to give a mid-height kick with mediocre knockback, hits for around 10% (this happens in one smooth move, just like the other characters running A)

smashes:
side smash==> lifts hammer above head and brings it down with great force, strong knockback, hits for 12% (barely charged) to 24% fully charged. this can also hit foes coming from directly above you, but with much less damage (around 5% max) and weak knockback
smash up==> uses hammer as support to give an upward kick, fairly strong knockback, hits for 10% to 18%
smash down==> does a low hammer sweep, foes hit are launched in the air: when hit at close range: you fly straight up, when hit by the tip, you fly diagonally up. mediocre knockback, hits for 10% to 20%

air attacks:
no direction A==> swings hammer around (like in the first gba sonic game) hitting for around 6% per hit with mediocre knockback
upward A==> does a backflip with her hammer, hits for around 10% mediocre kockback, also hits foes in front and behind her
forward A==> comparable to her forward smash, this will be her meteor. she slams a foe straight down, hits for around 10%
backward A==> uses both legs to kick backwards, mediocre knockback, hits for around 9%
down A==> puts her hammer anderneath her, kinda like link uses his sword...multiple hits are possible. first hit hits for 9%, 2nd for 6% and 3th (and last) hits for 4%


special moves:
B: elemental hammer==> she charges her hammer with a random element (fire, ice, lightning or earth), hits for 15% to 30%, and those who stood close enough (directly beside her) look like an accordeon for 2 seconds
the effects of the elements are:
fire: the attakced foe( or foes) receive additional damage over time, up to 10%
ice: attacke foe or foes have a 10% to 40% chance of being frozen (depending how much it was charged)
lightning: attackes foe or foes have a 5% to 15% chance of being stunned (kinda like shield busted, and also depending on how much it was charged) the stun remains for about 3 seconds
earth: attacked foe or foes are poisoned and receive dmg over time, up to 10%

side B: flying hammer==> she trows her hammer like a boomerang, fairly strong knockback to everybody that is hit, deals 8% to 14%, depending with what part it hits you

up B: heli hammer==> swings her hammer so fast it drags her up a bit, hits for around 10% per hit, but weak knockback. flight can be controlled

down B: hammer uppercut==> spins once with her hammer held low, then finishes the spin with an upward swing of the hammer, launching a foe (or foes) into the air. has mediocre knockback for those hit during the spin, strong knockback for those hit by the swing. those hit with the spin, are hit for 8%, those hit with the swing are hit for 15%


grabs:
grabs foe by the throat and headbutts him (or her)

throw up==> kicks the foe hard on his butt, does around 5%
forward throw==> holds foe with 1 hand, takes her hammer hits him, weak knockback, does around 3%
back throw==> amy takes her foe, and does a backroll, planting a foot in the foes stomach and launching him pretty far, hits for around 3%
throw down==> slams foe on the ground and jumps on the foe, hits for 4%

taunts:
taunt 1==> leaning on her hammer, presses 2 fingers on her mouth and gives a kiss and a small heart appears. while she's giving the kiss, she winks ;)
taunt 2==> swings her hammer back and forth, while laughing ::D
taunt 3==> points forward and says: "that all you got?", "come on" or "it's already over?"

this happens with the voice she has on the sonic x series...

FS: hammer rampage==> amy is glowing red of anger, her speed increases 3-fold, and every hit has twice the range, sends out shockwaves and ALL hit for 20% with heavy knockback
and just like in the sonic x series, she's shouting stuff like: "sonic, you imbecil!', "get back here sonic!" or "when will you stop being an idiot??!!" because sonic doesn't show love for her (she will shout these, even if there is no sonic fighting).

ok, what do you guys think of that?:p


second character: lucario

run speed: fast

falling speed: fairly fast (he is semi metal type....)

normal attacks:
A==> punches once, when pressed repeatadly: goes into constant punch like fox's kicks, or falcon's punches in ssbm...but switches between left and right arm with each punch...first punch hits for 3%, consecutive punches hit for 2% (right arm) and 1% (left arm)
side tilt A==> gives fairly strong kick, hits for 6% mediocre knockback
up tilt A==> gives an uppercut, launching foes up, hits for 7%
down A==> makes a sweep with his leg, hits for 5% launches foe a bit in the air, but not very high
running A==> does an elbowtackle on the foe, possible to hit multiple foes, mediocre knockback(for the first one hit), weak knockback (other foes that got hit), hits for 7% (if you are the first that got hit) other foes receive 3%

smashes:
side smash==> retracts a fist and punches with great force, hits for 15% to 20%, mediocre to strong knockback, can hit foes behind him who are very close, weak knockback and 5%
up smash==> double kick, kinda like ganondorf's smash up, hits for 10% to 15%
down smash==> performs a "breakdance" hitting everyone around him for 8% to 17%

specials:
B: aura sphere==> sends out a light-brown coloured ball that can only be aoided using power shield or reflector-like weapons (including that franklin-badge). can be charged. hits for 10% to 25% and has fairly weak to strong knockback, depending on how much it is charged. possible to walk around with it. kinda like samus's energyball.lucario's eyes will glow blue while doing this
side B: extremespeed==> hits everybody he passes while doing this for 7%, mediocre knockback. runs forward with high speed with his fists stretched out in front of him.
down B: feint==> lucario disappears and hits the person closest to him. hits for 10% weak knockback
up B: sky uppercut==> lucario flies "superman-like" up, flightdirection can be controlled. hits for 18% with mediocre knockback

lucario grabs a foe and punches it, each hit hits for 4%

throw up==> lucario holds foe a bit up with one arm, then delivers an uppercut. hits for 5% mediocre knockback
side throw==> lucario plants his foot in the mid-portion of the foes body, fairly strong knockback, hits for 4%
throw down==> lucario slams the foe down head first, hits for 5%

taunts:
taunt 1==> lucario crosses his arms, and says " you lack the conviction to win" , "you're not strong enough" , "you really think you can win?" or "think you can beat me?" with the voice he has in the movie
taunt 2==> lucario glows blue, stretches out his arms and laughs
taunt 3==> lucario stretches out 1 arm, pointing forward. then makes a challenging signal, like fox's taunt on ssbm. he doesn't say anything though.

FS: close combat==> this has a fairly short range, but it deals 80% with strong knockback
it can hit multiple foes, and all receive same amount of damage and experience same knockback. lucario experiences a 1.5 dmg ratio for 8 seconds.

ok, those were the two movesets.
what do you guys think of em? do note that i described ALL moves they are capable of doing, including the tilt up A-move most people forget to mention.

You should send those to nintendo. Both are great movesets IMO, but the Lucario one would be the better one IMO. I hope A new character is announced this week. How many characters in all do you think there will be?

down A==> puts her hammer anderneath her, kinda like link uses his sword...multiple hits are possible. first hit hits for 9%, 2nd for 6% and 3th (and last) hits for 4%


special moves:
B: elemental hammer==> she charges her hammer with a random element (fire, ice, lightning or earth), hits for 15% to 30%, and those who stood close enough (directly beside her) look like an accordeon for 2 seconds
the effects of the elements are:
fire: the attakced foe( or foes) receive additional damage over time, up to 10%
ice: attacke foe or foes have a 10% to 40% chance of being frozen (depending how much it was charged)
lightning: attackes foe or foes have a 5% to 15% chance of being stunned (kinda like shield busted, and also depending on how much it was charged) the stun remains for about 3 seconds
earth: attacked foe or foes are poisoned and receive dmg over time, up to 10%

side B: flying hammer==> she trows her hammer like a boomerang, fairly strong knockback to everybody that is hit, deals 8% to 14%, depending with what part it hits you

up B: heli hammer==> swings her hammer so fast it drags her up a bit, hits for around 10% per hit, but weak knockback. flight can be controlled

down B: hammer uppercut==> spins once with her hammer held low, then finishes the spin with an upward swing of the hammer, launching a foe (or foes) into the air. has mediocre knockback for those hit during the spin, strong knockback for those hit by the swing. those hit with the spin, are hit for 8%, those hit with the swing are hit for 15%


grabs:
grabs foe by the throat and headbutts him (or her)

throw up==> kicks the foe hard on his butt, does around 5%
forward throw==> holds foe with 1 hand, takes her hammer hits him, weak knockback, does around 3%
back throw==> amy takes her foe, and does a backroll, planting a foot in the foes stomach and launching him pretty far, hits for around 3%
throw down==> slams foe on the ground and jumps on the foe, hits for 4%

taunts:
taunt 1==> leaning on her hammer, presses 2 fingers on her mouth and gives a kiss and a small heart appears. while she's giving the kiss, she winks ;)
taunt 2==> swings her hammer back and forth, while laughing ::D
taunt 3==> points forward and says: "that all you got?", "come on" or "it's already over?"

this happens with the voice she has on the sonic x series...

FS: hammer rampage==> amy is glowing red of anger, her speed increases 3-fold, and every hit has twice the range, sends out shockwaves and ALL hit for 20% with heavy knockback
and just like in the sonic x series, she's shouting stuff like: "sonic, you imbecil!', "get back here sonic!" or "when will you stop being an idiot??!!" because sonic doesn't show love for her (she will shout these, even if there is no sonic fighting).

second character: lucario

run speed: fast
attacking speed: fast
jump height: high: jumps straight at 1st jump, makes salot or backflip (depending on forward or backward jump respectively)
falling speed: fairly fast (he is semi metal type....)

normal attacks:
A==> punches once, when pressed repeatadly: goes into constant punch like fox's kicks, or falcon's punches in ssbm...but switches between left and right arm with each punch...first punch hits for 3%, consecutive punches hit for 2% (right arm) and 1% (left arm)
side tilt A==> gives fairly strong kick, hits for 6% mediocre knockback
up tilt A==> gives an uppercut, launching foes up, hits for 7%
down A==> makes a sweep with his leg, hits for 5% launches foe a bit in the air, but not very high
running A==> does an elbowtackle on the foe, possible to hit multiple foes, mediocre knockback(for the first one hit), weak knockback (other foes that got hit), hits for 7% (if you are the first that got hit) other foes receive 3%

smashes:
side smash==> retracts a fist and punches with great force, hits for 15% to 20%, mediocre to strong knockback, can hit foes behind him who are very close, weak knockback and 5%
up smash==> double kick, kinda like ganondorf's smash up, hits for 10% to 15%
down smash==> performs a "breakdance" hitting everyone around him for 8% to 17%

specials:
B: aura sphere==> sends out a light-brown coloured ball that can only be aoided using power shield or reflector-like weapons (including that franklin-badge). can be charged. hits for 10% to 25% and has fairly weak to strong knockback, depending on how much it is charged. possible to walk around with it. kinda like samus's energyball.lucario's eyes will glow blue while doing this
side B: extremespeed==> hits everybody he passes while doing this for 7%, mediocre knockback. runs forward with high speed with his fists stretched out in front of him.
down B: feint==> lucario disappears and hits the person closest to him. hits for 10% weak knockback
up B: sky uppercut==> lucario flies "superman-like" up, flightdirection can be controlled. hits for 18% with mediocre knockback

grabs:
lucario grabs a foe and punches it, each hit hits for 4%

throw up==> lucario holds foe a bit up with one arm, then delivers an uppercut. hits for 5% mediocre knockback
side throw==> lucario plants his foot in the mid-portion of the foes body, fairly strong knockback, hits for 4%
throw down==> lucario slams the foe down head first, hits for 5%

taunts:
taunt 1==> lucario crosses his arms, and says " you lack the conviction to win" , "you're not strong enough" , "you really think you can win?" or "think you can beat me?" with the voice he has in the movie
taunt 2==> lucario glows blue, stretches out his arms and laughs
taunt 3==> lucario stretches out 1 arm, pointing forward. then makes a challenging signal, like fox's taunt on ssbm. he doesn't say anything though.

FS: close combat==> this has a fairly short range, but it deals 80% with strong knockback
it can hit multiple foes, and all receive same amount of damage and experience same knockback. lucario experiences a 1.5 dmg ratio for 8 seconds.

ok, those were the two movesets.
what do you guys think of em? do note that i described ALL moves they are capable of doing, including the tilt up A-move most people forget to mention.

You should send those to nintendo. Both are great movesets IMO, but the Lucario one would be the better one IMO. I hope A new character is announced this week. How many characters in all do you think there will be?

Yeah. If you send in a letter like this, expect it to be immediately disregarded. The makers of Brawl could care less about a moveset a single person made up. In the end, you should be happy if the character you want even makes it into the game.

i completely agree to the criticism given by c-m here...
nonetheless, i wanted to try and see if i would do a rather good job making up a character's moveset or not... it appears i do, after reading the comments given so far...
however, i never had the intention of sending it to nintendo :p if they would reply (chances are slim but still...) they would probably just laugh in my face or something...

how many characters in total in brawl? who knows? they even introduced a new AT who i totally don't recognise and nobody even thought of him...but his weapon seems similar to squall's gunblade in FF8...i think all LOGICAL characters (tails, amy, knuckles, shadow, lucario, princess shroob(i still wanna see her if that's possible), megaman, etc) still have a chance of joining in...either as PC or AT...

the new dude seems rather cool though :p

btw c-m: as you are the best critic around here, what do you think of the movesets? if those two characters would be in brawl with em, would you like em?(chances are slim to none, i know:p)

ow yeah, what did you guys think of amy's elemental hammer? :p and her FS? i thought it was hilarious if it would happen :p

Well first of all, are you referring to me? Because I prefer CM over c-m, :p

I liked the Amy moveset; I originally thought the elemental hammer was slightly overpowered, but then again, look at Roy's Flare Blade. Also for the Earth portion of the attack, wouldn't it make more sense if it did something along the same lines of DK's side+B or the pitfall?

The Lucario is really hard for me to critique; as a member of SmashBoards forums I've seen way too many Lucario movesets, and now they're all starting to seem the same. I did like the glowing eyes after the chargeup of Aura Sphere, that's a nice touch.

i have to admit, while making the amy moveset, i had the same idea for the earth-effect of the elemental hammer...i decided to go for the poison because then the stunprobability is about equal to the extra damage-probability...but i like the pitfall idea :d:d
you actually knock your opponent in the ground or through a platform (that must be hilarious to see:p)...sounds even better then poison :d:d:p you could even use it as a second meteor, if it takes on the earth-portion :d:p

for the elem-hammer: don't forget it's a rather low chance of these effects actually happening... the best chance is 40% to freeze when amy's hammer is fully charged...and most opponents are smart enough to dodge this or they just stay away from amy then...just like with roy...
i forgot something in the description of the hammer btw...the fire-effect has a 10% to 18% chance of happening, and the pitfall effect (so it won't be poison, but pitfall) has a 19% chance of happening...

as for the lucario moveset...it's hard to make a different one i think...i mean: look at lucario, and his moves in the games...you HAVE to use his fists and feet, and aura sphere can't be left out (that's what he uses in the movie, so it has to be in his moveset:p)
also, close combat is his strongest attack on the ds-games, so it's a very good option for his FS...there aren't many other options to go with, i think...(but you know, my shortsightedness....:p)

say CM, don't you have a character in mind that you absslutely want to see in ssbb?
i mean, togeshroob has shroob princess, i have ganondorf, there was some1 with bidoof even (wtf????:p) so how about you?

Feint seems way too overpowered, because if you hit an opponent anyways, you can just keep on spamming him/her with that attack, it's just too good. Auto-hit attacks also require no ability whatsoever, just use, run away or use again, back to step 1.

I woulda thought the shroobs would get in as an assist trophy, not a character though... Squeek squad would be a nice assist trophy too. BTW, are character clones still in it? I'd hope not :/

I bet I just made shroob insane.
