BW/BW2 Starter Evolutions confirmation.

Just to let everyone know I didn't make that pic myself, I found it on DA. And as for weither it's real, given the interview and given how Miju's shell is removable I don't see why that shouldn't be considered fake after all. It'll most likely have it weild that shell like that but probably won't be noticable in the sprites and more noticable in a potential PBR2 or whenever it debuts in the anime. Also what everyone was originally expecting from it could still potentially be used provided it could learn any first strike attacks such as Aqua Jet, which I'm hoping it will just so it can compete with Empoleon for usefulness, and if it's indeed Water/Fighting it could outmatch Empoleon. But so far, I feel it would be best if we wait until either a sequel to Battle Revolution or the anime episode it'll eventually debut in until we know for sure how it's used.
Edit: Also I seen some of your comments and look at the pic I showed you as if it were a different evo. It's the same evo just with someone's idea of how the design would really work.

i think the evolutions don't make sense.why make pokabu a four legged creature, then 2 legged?and vice-versa for mijumaru evos.i think these are horrible.shiramu had that mijumaru evo picture, and thats what i think people thought the 3rd evo would look like when the mijumaru 2nd evo picture came in the beta art

O_O Uhhh... this really doesn't confirm anything. Sugimori never said anything about giving Mijumaru's final evolution a horn.
He specifically said he turned the shell ON ITS CHEST into a sword, but never said he'd move it to its head. And does the final evolution even LOOK Chinese based? But really... just wait until the actual confirmation. This doesn't mean anything, yet. =/

@Manhattan: He never actually refered to the final evo directly just to let you know, though he did refer to Mijumaru directly as such.

@Shiramu: Eh... I'll just wait for the official info, then.
For now, I still don't believe these are real. There's a slight possibility that Pokexperto read this ahead of time, and created the evolutions based off of the descriptions, but whatever. I'm not gonna discuss this any longer, it's killing me. u_u

Yeah, just like someone said, this confirms nothing! What sugimori said in the interview doesn't make sense when you look at mijumaru's evo. If it was supposed to turn mijumaru into a samurai otter, why make it quadrupedal (like someone said)? I still don't believe in those starters, and I'll wait until I see the official reveal...

but, btw, if they are real, Epic Fail Sugimori!

Like I said even if they are indeed the real deal wait until we have a high quality source that can display it in motion, such as the anime or something similar.

Pokabu's final evo looks RIDICULOUS. Tsutaja's final evo could have been wayyyyyy cooler.
I'm fine with the sea otter's final evo.
It's ironic how I like sea otter starter the least, but I like its final evo the most.

Hey if this is the explanation that makes Miju's final evo awesome I'm sure Ken has a logical explanation for the other 2 as well. Be it Ganon or something else there's something interesting going on with these 3.
Edit: According to the interview Pokabu's final form is based on something chinese. I need a bunch of sources to look at to see if I can find any matchs to it's description, such as the Pig for the Zodiac, which I am looking at right now yet I'm getting the polar opposite of what I was expecting. I will say this it isn't the zodiac Pokabu's final evo is based on but something else instead, though the pig being Yin similar to Zekrom is close enough to something. So far I just believe someone gave some of Ganon's concepts for Ken to recycle and use for the final form.

It is possible, that the pictures of the evolutions we saw were just beta designs (although close to the finished product) and that the final form of Mijumaru has become bipedal since then or had minor tweaks. (same goes for the others I guess)

Based on this though....Pokabu is definitely out for me. It feels like they just shoehorned Pokabu into becoming a fighting type regardless of whether it would work or not.

I think I'll be picking Tsutaja, Mijumaru is my favourite starter by a mile but for the end product Tsutaja's final form has the edge for me.

I like Tsutaaja's final form more than any of the others. Pokabu's final evo is interesting. But Mijumaru's final form is just like...'what?'

Well, the water starter isn't that bad looking. I will be going with the water starter as usual now that its confirmed{W}

I don't think miju's final is too bad, just the current art.

Here's my interpretation:

It can probably get up on its hind legs (flippers?), like Swampert does. I agree that the shell on its head could be detachable, but it also might just swing its horn around to impale things.
It's kind of like a samurai sea lion/narwhal thing haha.

I might just go with Tsutarja's line when I get the game though; it really depends on how the final sprites look.
Only about 9 days until release!

Question: When was the starters evos confirmed cause that little interview thing confirmed absolutely NOTHING!!!!

@Potetoe 7 days, 15 hours and 23 mins actually (I love the Bulbapedia countdown clock, lol)

Though the 2 fanart pics of Mijumaru's evo stilll make no sense in terms of the sword comment though. If if it was detachable wouldn't that make it a club not a sword? The pic oakbark posted of razor shells seem to make more sense for a "sword" design, rather then a big spiky club.
