RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

Why is charizard up there, it's bad trust me.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

Sorry that I have not posted in a while.

Yea LuxApe will rpobably be replaced by BlazeRay in the new format.

I wondeer how T-Tar electivire would work...

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

I don't think blaze-ray is any way near fast enough to compete with luxape lol. Also any blazekin deck needs blaze FBX heatranX or luxray X so flygon will be so efficient against them.

Could work pretty good beacuse when you are short on energy you are not really doing anything anyway.

YOu don't think that it is anyway as fast as Luxape? My list if I go 2nd I get the T1 Luring Flame %90 of the time and if I go first I get it %75 of the time. Next turn I level up and hit for 70 with Vapor kick or 120 with Jet shoot. We don't need heatran Lv.X beacuse we don't discard energy, We play Luxray but most of the time after I use it I poketurn it so I can use it again when I need to. Also Flygon has trouble beacuse you can spray their first Cosmic power then Bright Look/Luring flame to get the knockout. Without claydol they fail to set up. I will agree that if they somehow get setup we will have issues but that is hard for them to do.

Because it's not even as rare as some rare holos. >_>

Can somebody explain to me what Metal Gengar is? I've never heard of that before.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

Metal Gengar involves Metagross and Gengar. Metagross reduces all pokemon's HP by 20. Good Metal Gengar decks run one of each Metagross though.

But it doesn't take Gengar deck slower?
About the BlaziRay vs. LuxApe, I prefer LuxApe, that in terms of damage IMO is better, but BlaziRay ruins some tactics as Claydol and can hit fast.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

It doesn't make it slower at all. Bennett and I are running the same list, except for I'm running one of each metagross, and out of the 8 games we played, both of us had about 2 gengars around T3 all ready, with Metagross out and everything.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

Metagross and Gengar go together in a way where Metagross drops everything by 20 hp, making you able to one shot Claydol and Uxie using Shadow Room. Pretty effective, but the only thing hindering me from using it is the fact that I am just afraid of getting easily taken out. I mean 90 hp on a stage 2? Its sad...but it is VERY effective.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

I think the idea is to kill the bench before gengar can die for being at 90..Also gengar has fainting spell so the worry of knock out isnt as much as people are making it out to be.... I mean you snipe claydol for ko, then they pull out lets say flygon. It kills your gengar but fainting spell succeeds..they only had one flygon so they are screwed. You pull up the other metagross the one that switches out ur opponent's pokemon. Switch them to their vibrava or trapinch they r charging..kill it and that ruins the whole game for them.

Combined with my hacked dice, who cares?

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

Well, the -20 HP does come with a bit of a bonus, you get to use Fainting Spell more often. >_> But yeah, I see the strat now. It seems like it's slow to set up, with Claydol, Metagross, and Gengar trying to get out.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

Sorry everyone, my great aunt died and I had to go to her funeral in Illinois... I hate funerals, they make me feel very sad...

Anyway onto the topic eh? The Gengar with Metagross will be good if you can make it consistent IMO. Like TPO3 said, it might be slow. I would have Pokedrawer in that deck if I were to play that deck.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

same here, and Marleys and lux balls might be needed too.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

Personally I don't like the deck. I mean it doesn't seem that good plus Blazeray kills you.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

What do you guys think about a Magmortar/Blaziken FB/Heatran deck? Magmortar Lv. X burns with a Poke Power, Heatran Lv. X keeps the burn on and makes them take damage every turn, and Blaziken FB Lv. X adds extra damage for an easy KO. I haven't gotten to test it yet, but in theory, it seems pretty good, although the main problem is levelling up the benched Pokemon. Also, I just got back from Worlds today. I went 4-4 in the grinders, then played in side events the next two days. It was great.

Slow? It seems like that, but it's actually quite the opposite.

Well, for me and bennett at least.

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

Metal Gengar slow? Haha...I run it, and it is fantastic. Its quite the opposite, in fact I have a Gengar swarm. I mean 2 energy max? Gengar begins to show up in numbers, and sniping Claydol/Uxie is fantastic. Basics have 20-30 hp, so they are so easily KOed by shadow room...even if they dont have bodies, it is fantastic. I have even teched in Machamp, to deal with pesky Absols and Luxrays, it is fantasticoso...

RE: Team Transform- TOPIC: Next Format: 13 sets. What will the metagame be? Or will there even be one?

Yeah I was playing against seth and he swarms very fast. Metagengar is just as fast maybe faster than mothergengar : /. The magmortor deck up above sounds rly cool but i still think all three blazekin go togethr better. FB, GE, and PL
