RE: The Angels

Looks like an awesome game, even though I'm religious! The sign-up form is pretty long so I'll be done soon, I guess.

RE: The Angels

Alright! So...I'm thinking we should begin around the coming up Tuesday, which should give you plenty of time to figure out your form and go through my merciless edits.

RE: The Angels

That should be possible. I'm at collosalcon all weekend til sunday night so I don't have time til then to finish XD

RE: The Angels

I have been drafting my form for the past day - I want it perfect, but I might just PM it to you now to be on the safe side.

I know them well enough to bump for them(I think).

Well, you thought wrong. Please don't do it again.

Also, we're beginning now!

IC: Betty looked up to what seemed to be endless space. This was what the sky was like on heaven. She was on a beach, a perfect replica of the one in the Carribeans, down on Earth. The stars and planets appeared much larger here, and she loved it. Waves crashed in front of her. Through the water, she could see a city on Earth.

She grinned. They were coming. It would be a good group this time, she could tell. She stood up and dusted off her dress. Newly-dead angels began to rise from the ocean, scared, confused. Most of them hardly had an idea the were dead. Most deaths were accident. It took herself a week to be convinced.

She waited for them to all rise from the water and take the short--ankle deep--walk to shore.

"Hello, and welcome," She began "My name is Betty, and I am here to guide you through Heaven."

RE: The Angels

Drey emerged from the salty water. He looked around confused, and noticed he was on a beach and that it was night. The last thing he remembered was the building he was in started shaking violently. Actually, the building started to cave in on itself! How did he end up on the beach? His building was a couple blocks away from the beach at least. He sees a young girl on the beach.
"Hello, and welcome," he heard her say. "My name is Betty, and I am here to guide you through Heaven."
Did she say Heaven? This confused Drey even more.
But that would mean...

He started to walk towards the shore. Thoughts were swirling in Drey's head. He was not a religious man, never was. Maybe he misheard the girl. Or he was dreaming. He could be passed out right now, after the building fell in. But this was so vivid.

He stepped out of the water and into the sand near the girl, Betty.
"What's happening?" was all he managed to say.

RE: The Angels

OoC: Sorry about that, Rock Wrecker, I replied through PM.

IC: Betty saw one of the angels stumble a bit, then walked closer to her than the others. She was worried about all of them, since she had had angels faint before, and that isn't very good. It's better to bring things out very slowly, since it was a lot to take in. The angel would be desperate for more information at first, but then would gradually begin to understand the situation. After that, the depression sunk in.

"What's happening?" said the angel that was closer to her. She gave a calm smile.

"We are...greeting new people." She said, her grin flickering. Remembering her own death was painful enough. "I'm sorry for all of you." she said, pointing her head to the whole group.

RE: The Angels

He stood next to her and looked out over the water, seeing people come out of it just as he had. It was very bizarre. All of them seemed just as confused as he did. He noticed something about the people. All of them seemed to be attractive. Or maybe healthy was a better word. He wasn't sure how to describe it, but everyone looked... nice.

"Greeting people for what?" he replied simply. He voiced seemed calm, and even though he was confused, he wasn't worried.

RE: The Angels

"Greeting people for what?" the man replied. It was strange, how calm he was. When she died, she was scared, and her voice often shook. But she overcame it. It was the scariest thing you could think of. Some would say "I've been through worse." but that isn't true. How can you go through something that is worse than death? Well, you can't. That's why humanity made death so important. Betty was simply thankful that there was something beyond a dark grave.

"Well, I'm going to have to explain that more carefully," she began. "to everyone."

RE: The Angels

Drey didn't reply. Instead, he stood there silently. He crossed his arms and watched the people in the water. He noticed that even though he had just come out of the water himself, his clothes were not wet. He tried to think of logical explinations to what was happening. Hallucinations, dreams, etc... but soon lost his motivation to explain it, and just looked out over the water.

RE: The Angels

IC: The car falls off the bridge into the water. It's strange, like the people in the other car deliberately shoved his in. He recognises the registration plate, but everything is happening ast once and it doesn't register. Discovery doesn't take priority over survival.
The car has now plummeted into the river. It sinks slowly to the bottom, and Night fumbles with the doors, trying to open them. Violet is in the passenger seat, barely conscious. Although he can't talk through water, Night knows that he must save her. He unbuckles her from her seat, pulls her out and starts to bring her up towards the surface. He's running out of oxygen, and he hits a stone ledge. He remains alive for three seconds, to see Violet turn, tears in here eyes. She goes to help him, but it's too late. Everything goes black.
He is in the sea of some foreign paradise - maybe the Carribean, and he walks, strangely dry, to the beach. A girl is waiting for him, and there are other people around him.
But, I'm dead. How did I get here?
Night suddenly realises the truth when the girl says that he is in Heaven. As he supports scientific theories, Night is confused, but he prefers this to a grave. He comes up to the girl.
"So, we're dead? What do we do here?"

RE: The Angels

"So, we're dead? What do we do here?" A man asked. It was strange, he looked as he knew exactly what was going on. Unfortunately, his death must have been intended. She sighed, it was never easy for angels who went through it that way. They always assumed that they could live a better life without thier murderers, but that isn't it. They were going to die, someway, somehow, because it was meant to be.

Unfortunately, telling the whole crowd that they were dead was going to make this situation a lot more challenging.

"Yes....you are." She stated tentavely. She didn't want to shock anyone, but it was too late for that. "I'm sorry, but I cannot tell you much now. The next group is coming in, and we can't crows this place. Please, follow me." She waves her hand over as she says this, then let's her pigtails bounce as she walks upshore, feeling the sand between her toes.

She guides them through a sand beach, which gradually forms from small patches of grass to a wide field. On the other side, most can see the outline of a city. She smiles, and leads them there. It takes a while, but eventually the reach the entrance, which is a tall silver gate, with and arch on top, stating "The Beginning".

"This is it." She waits for the stragglers to catch up.

RE: The Angels

OoC: My bad.

Ic:
"Darn...", Royal whispered to himself as he got up from the waves of water. "Wait. Where am I?"
Royal observed his surroundings. He walked up to the coast, and was shocked that his clothes weren't wet.
He takes a moment to take it all in, and think about what happened. Closes his eyes.
The wound must have killed me. Although this isn't logical, if it's happening it must be true.
His eyes remained closed.
This must be Heaven. It looks too pleasant to be the alternative.
Royal opens his eyes, fully accepting that he is dead, and in Heaven.
"If I'm dead... what happens now?"

RE: The Angels

~GOING BACK IN TIME, SINCE SOME PLAYERS WERE LATER THAN OTHERS AND I WAS TOO IMPATIENT TO WAIT FOR THEM AND STUFF

"If I'm dead... what happens now?" Another man asked her. This was a great question, once that she wished she asked in the first place.

"Even though your dead...you have a chance to start a new life. For eternity." She said with a calm smile. She remembered her own past, when she died, she felt guilty for never going to a memorial. She always thought they were too painful. Now, she lived in a memorial. This would have to be accepted, and this was going to be the hardest experience most of them would have. How do people create life after death? That's the challenge.

RE: The Angels

Drey followed behind Betty through the field. He saw all the details of the landscape, but didn't really take them in. He was still in a kind of shock, as if this were just a dream or not really happening. He felt somewhat weak, as if he hadn't eaten in a while. Soon they came to a large, silver gate. "The Beginning..." reads Drey outloud.
"What is this place?"
He stared in awe of the huge silver city in front of him

OoC: Edited. Gotta keep this RPG classy :p

OoC: It's in the rules, buddy. I need a paragraph.

RE: The Angels

Night is amazed. This is pretty much the best outcome possible after death, but it's got him thinking. If Heaven really does exist, does The Underworld? Are any of his relatives or friends there? Will his murderer go there?
Yes, he has realised. The registration clocked in his head when he went underwater, and it was the thought of what the truth was that made him smash his head and kill him. As long as he's away from the man, he's happy. And Violet should be in Heaven, of course. That goes without saying.
"So, Betty. Is there another dimension where the people with many sins go?"

RE: The Angels

OoC: Just so things like this don't happen again, if the rest of the players are on a different part, just write your character going to there, and then ask questions.

IC: Betty was ready to open the gate. The boy with the strange paintmark continued on through the field, and she smiled. They were going to be okay. This was a good group.

"The Beginning..." reads a familiar voice from before. She turned to see it was the same one from before. She studied his features, black long hair, pale skin, and hazel eyes. She felt she would need to remember him, he asked many questions. Maybe she would learn his name later.
"What is this place?" he continued.

"This..." she began "...is New York City. If you focus on that spot right there..." she pointed it out. If you trained your eyes, you could see two large buildings standing together. "You can see the Twin Towers."

Before she could explain, another question was asked.

"So, Betty. Is there another dimension where the people with many sins go?"

She shivered at the very thought. She had always wondered about this, and did much research to find out, but it was so...hard. The G.O.D was hiding everything. How was she going to answer? If she did not know, only the G.O.D would. She was claimed to be the highest guider. But was she really?

"To be honest...we don't know. It's kind of like on Earth, how they don't know about the existence of aliens. It's certainly possible...but we just don't know."

She used the term "we" in hopes of him assuming no one on Heaven knew. She could never question the G.O.D.
