RE: The Angels

"New York City, eh? Sure is a lot cleaner than it is on Earth." Drey had picked up that this wasn't Earth from the way Betty had spoken about it. He still wasn't sure if he could believe what was happening, but it was happening. So he went along.
"Lets go in" he said. If the city looked so elegant from outside the gates, it must look even more amazing inside them. Was this going to be their new residence? Drey always liked New York City, he went there frequently on business. He wouldn't mind living in the heavenly version of it.

RE: The Angels

OoC: These new smilies are kind of stupid. Why a yellow ninja when you can have a black ninja?!

IC: "New York City, eh? Sure is a lot cleaner than it is on Earth." Betty laughed aloud at this statement. He was perfectly right. No crime, and magic cleaning up the messes of trash or waste. She didn't respond. She would leave it to him to find out.

"Lets go in" he introduced. At this question, Betty would have to give a no. A lot of time in death, stragglers took longer to reach places, especially if they were injured before death. The brain may trick them into thinking they are still injured.

OoC: OR IF THEY DECIDE TO TAKE FOREVER TO POST. I'M TALKING TO YOU, ICE_MASTER.

IC: "I think we should wait a little longer. We can only open the gate ever so often, and some people are going to be late." She said, trying to sound sincere.

RE: The Angels

"Well, I'm ready whenever. This is a confusing world, but it will be great to explore and discover new things. Plus, we don't have to worry about danger, from what I've heard."
Night shivers at the thought of immortal people who are dangerous. Who is this G.O.D.? Is it anything like the ones in religion? Night doesn't really know much about religion, and hopes that this G.O.D. doesn't cause any religious conflict.

RE: The Angels

Drey crossed his arms and stood there, waiting for the others to catch up. He was incredibly eager to go into the city . It's not everyday that you get to see a heavenly city. But Betty had spoken, and she was in charge. So he would wait patiently.
After a moment of silence, he said, "I'm Drey, by the way. From London." He was addressing both Betty and the other guy with them in casual clothes. He looked to be in his early 20s. Was that the age he died at?

OoC: I will be on vacation for a week, starting tomorrow. I will try to get on when i can.

RE: The Angels

"Hi, Drey. I'm Night, and I'm also from England. I work.. uh, worked as a painter, and I think that my death was almost certainly planned. As long as I'm making friends, and my murderer doesn't end up here, I think that it'll be great here."
He sighs, looking at Drey.
"My girlfriend was also involved, and I don't know where she is now. She should be here, but if she was, she'd probably arrive at a similar time to me. I'm worried for her sake, because if she is still alive, the police and the murderers will both have an eye on her. I believe that nothing is ever fully safe, even here. Evil lurks where you don't expect it, and I'm keeping aware of what's going on. Even Heaven surely has its flaws. What do you think?"
He doesn't direct this at anyone in particular, but hopes to get an answer.

RE: The Angels

"I disagree. This is a realm made to perfect." Royal fixed his glare on Night, then looked away from Night and stared at the scenery.
"You said you worked as a painter? I find that remarkable. I'm a student of Cambridge."
Although he wasn't certain that Night was still listening, he carried on. "I won't bore you with the details of my death, but it was indefinitely intentioned. Allow me to properly introduce myself. I'm Royal V Winter, wisdom's child.

RE: The Angels

"Cambridge, eh? I considered university, but decided to start my own business at the age of 15, and was allowed to drop out of school early. Anyway, pleased to meet you."
His eyes wander to a palm tree, with three coconuts at the bottom. He decides to stroll over and check if the coconuts are edible.
"Do you think that we are supposed to eat, although we're in Heaven?" he calls out. "Because if not, why are there coconuts? Why would angels need them?"

OOC: Hope you don't mind this, I'm just introducing the curious side of Night's character.

RE: The Angels

"I suppose eating would be a luxury. Not necessity of course. Just, something we did in our lives that we're used to."
Royal walks towards the tree and picks up a coconut. "In heaven. At least I'll have something new to learn."
He knocked his hand on the coconut and dropped it. "Do animals come here? Does nightfall? So many questions ,I need to know."
He turned to Night. "Because we all fear what we don't know. If we fail to understand something, it causes fear and confusion."

RE: The Angels

"Yes, precisely. I'm so glad that you find that, too. Nobody I knew could quite grasp it. One can deny it, but it's true. I'd like many questions answered, but other people are often afraid of the truth and try to stay away from it, but you can't hide what's there. It will be great to explore this place. In fact, if it's OK, I think that I might explore the area now whilst Betty is managing the rest of the group. Then, I can answer my own questions instead of pestering her. Let me know if you want to come with me."
Night heads towards a small wooen fence, which he swings over using one hand, and walks into the mouth of a forest.
Again, why is there a forest here?, he thinks. Why is there so much that we don't need when we're invincible, but exists in Heaven anyway? Is it to comfort the ones who can't grasp the fact that they're dead?

RE: The Angels

Royal watched as Night walked away. "Go with you?" he whispered to himself.
"No thanks." he said, slightly louder.
So, what next? I wonder when that person will wake up.
Royal crossed his arms and sighed.
More of my questions can be answered if I entered that city. Although, looking in a forest should answer at least one question.
"Night!" Royal called out. "Wait."

RE: The Angels

Night swivells on his heels at the sound of Royal's call. He turns around to face him.
"Yes, Royal. What is it? Decided to come after all?"
He walks back to him, ready for a response. He hopes that it'll be something important, or else he's wasting time that could be spent exploring.

RE: The Angels

"Yeah, I'll follow."
I also have a few questions on this Night. I wonder...
"So, you could lead the way." Royal said with a smile.
I'm close enough to observe his attitude and movements. I will be enabled to squeeze an answer for that.
Royal walked a few feet in front of Night, then gestured him to catch up. Even though he said Night could lead the way.

RE: The Angels

Confused, Night walks up to Royal, striding quickly, and overtakes him. After half an hour of walking (somehow he has the feeling that it was half an hour, although time doesn't matter here), he finds a large tree stump and sits on it.
"Looks like this is the deepest part of the forest, but nothing interesting has happned yet," he sighs. "I sure hope that I discover something soon."

RE: The Angels

OOC: SO sorry guys. I had Camp and I didn't think it would take this long to post. *facepalm*

Miya, who had just somehow arose on a beach, found herself following a group of people,if thats what you would call them. She was finally able to catch up to the rest of...them. She noticed one looked more comfortable and in-tune than the rest of them. She felt strange. She liked it though, it was a dip in fresh water, any water. All she could manage to say was...

"Thank you..."

RE: The Angels

OoC: Okay...I explained the terrain of this place pretty clearly...beach, gradually forming meadow, then gate. No forest, no palms trees...so, I'm really not too sure why you guys decided to ruin that. Also, PARAGRAPHS. I'm not sure where you guys went to school, but where I went, that was AT LEAST three lines long. Two lines don't count. Please try and edit your posts, I'm sorry I was gone, my dad decided to take me to this Warlord challenge, which took seven hours instead of three, forcing me to stay the night. XP

Ice Master, you are forgiven. but please pot in paragraphs

IC: Betty smiled at the conversing group. They were doing superb, considering only minutes ago they died. Conversing and making friends was going to help them heal through the process. Especially since the maturity of this group seemed young, which meant they must have died young. That meant they had plently of friends and family still there, waiting.

Betty sighed, remembering the own friend she had left. But Patty was different. Betty would be able to see Patty soon, since Patty was gaining age herself. She knew how much Patty would love this place. How much she wished to talk to her now.

"Okay...I think there is only one more...then we should be done." She told the conversing group.

RE: The Angels

Night opens his eyes to the sound of Betty's voice. Although the forest was so vivid, when be looks now, it's nowhere to be seen. All he can see is the beach and a meadow. He wonders if he was dreaming or he was seeing illusions. He is very confused. Shaking his head, he walks towards Betty. He decides that he must have started imagining things after he had the conversation with Royal.

OOC: Sorry, didn't see that specified anywhere, and since you were gone for a while, I thought that I could do some creative roleplaying. :(

RE: The Angels

Dan was far behind the group unconscious. Suddenly he jerked up and started screaming, "Aaaggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! No! No don't shoot! I'm sorry John!" Dan screamed and then started crying. He had no idea where he was. He thought he was still about to die because the bullet had taken his life so quickly. Sobbing he managed to say, "Where... wh-where am I?" Dan didn't trust that anyone in this strange place would tell him the truth. He didn't know how he had been about to be shot at his school and then come out of consciousness here.

RE: The Angels

Betty jumped as she heard someone to the side of her screaming. What was wrong? They were all so calm before!

"Aaaggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! No! No don't shoot! I'm sorry John!" A boy with curly brown hair, latino skin, and brown eyes screamed. He was young, like the others. How tragic. Did purpose-filled deaths happen this often all the time?! "Where... wh-where am I?" The boy said, calm, but confused and fragile.

She immediately ran to him, leaving her back to a latter part of the gate. She crouched down and looked at the boy.

"It's okay! You're fine now. As fine as you will ever be!" She knew these were lies, but she had to calm the boy before explaining his situation.

RE: The Angels

OOC: Really sorry. This is the most creative RPG I've seen on here, but I have too much on my hands, and so I'll have to quit. I'll see you on other threads, but I have to limit my RPGs.

RE: The Angels

OoC: Okay, then. I edited the first post. Please feel free to PM me when you want to come back!
