Extra Notes:

-_-
Rock/Ghost? Really? What can be done with that?
Ugh...
I went with my first idea of a possessed rock. The shadow that the rock casts is the ghost attempting to escape it's "prison." However, it can leave at times, and this gives it an extra surge of power that causes headaches, dizziness, and even hallucinations to those nearby. However, as the rock is chosen for its unique power of keeping the ghost contained, it absorbs this energy. This is why the area around it is unaffected by it's hallucinations and why the ghost ultimately is sucked back in. The gemstones on the rock turn purple when the ghost is inside. The eyes on the front of the rock are what the ghost can use to look out when its shadow isn't showing.
When the ghost escapes, the gems release the purple energy, turning them black. The eyes also appear to close, but this is not the case. See the ghost's face?
As the ghost has no shelter, it's Defenses go way down. However, as it doesn't need to lug that heavy rock around anymore, its Speed and (Special) Attack go up.
The shadow itself isn't the pokémon. Or is it? What if the shadow itself is showing what it is you're really looking at? Maybe the rock is just part of the hallucination? Who knows?

(Yes, the upside down ghost is supposed to be the shadow. The less we can talk about the terrible artwork, the better. -_-)

...Wait.
No Guard + Hypnosis + Will-o-Wisp on a pokémon with only one weakness.
Hooray.

As you apparently didn't notice before, I already pointed this out.
However, only one pokémon was necessary in the first place. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Burvine disguises itself as a blade of grass and then sets fire to any Pokemon who near it. It is rather unpopular, due to it's mischievous behavior.

It has a large appetite, charring it's prey with it's flame, but it is actually peaceful by nature and rarely harms another Pokemon naturally.

CREDITS:
A buddy from smogon, Acklow, did the art for this project. He helped select the thing that the Pokemon would be based off of on what he thought would be easiest to draw, as I had a list of ideas. Bulbapedia provided pictures for the footsteps and body styles.

SHORT PARAGRAPH:
The whole inspiration for doing a Pokemon based off of corn was really Acklow's idea. Kind of. I explained the project to him and gave him a link, and after a little while of reading out animals he said "this is a Grass Type.. have you got any plants?" So my favourite plant on the list was a cornmon. He loved the idea so this line was born!

It was a lot of fun seeing this creature "evolve" as time went by. I did do all of the information in a hurry at the end, but I kept having ideas as they spruced up. For example, I decided straight away that my first Pokemon, Cworn, would have Fire Spin as a "Start" move, and that my final Pokemon, Quetzacorntl (Check here for design inspirations we had for the last guy, now the name makes sense!), would learn Perish Song at level 100 due to being easily burnable grass which breathes fire...lol. I'm not sure what to put here so this suffices I guess? YAY!

My sister came up with the names of both Pokemon, and the rest was done by me.

Overall, I think I could've done better. I didn't have time to research how good the Pokemon's moves and stats were. For the design, the whole idea was the Pokemon would have the same coat through both its evolutions, and it would eventually grow into it. One thing I did was have Puparka poke holes in the sleeves of the coat to have easier access to its fists when fighting. Then when it evolves to Eskimaster you can still see the holes in the sleeves.

Eskimaters spikes serve no purpose, other than to intimidate enemies, and the Puparka it travels with it show it's in charge. They also have large feet to make trekking across the universe through snow easier. I gave it higher physical and special attack to help with both its Fighting and Ice moves. It also has fairly high special defense because it's used to living out in the snow, which would give it more resistance to that kind of pain.

RE: The Challenge: Season 4 - Challenge 9 is up!

Well, here's my Fakemon family. I would say it's pretty cringe-worthy, but so are a lot of peoples, so I guess it's par for the course.
...Who are you comparing them to? 0_o
