slickmario said:Hamachi is a program that let's you join groups to exchange IPs and such. It's great for small Minecraft servers and Redshark.

To play multiplayer you need the full, paid, version (unless someone knows how to make a free-version server). Either via IP exchange or Hamachi, go to the Multiplayer option on the main menu, put in the IP of the server, and hit join. Some servers have a whitelist (meaning you can't join unless your account name is verified). The minecraft forums have a huge list of servers with and without whitelist. Be careful of PvP servers. They allow fighting in them, so other players with diamond swords can beat up newbies for their items.

Or are you not allowed to go on multiplayer in offline mode? If so, ignore my request.

You cannot make servers on the free version, but you can go onto others' servers. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious here.slickmario said:Hamachi is a program that let's you join groups to exchange IPs and such. It's great for small Minecraft servers and Redshark.

Hamachi is usually free - I interpreted that he was referring to the 'free' version of Minecraft (also known as the unintended hack). ;DPorygon-X said:Question: Isn't Hamachi free? Or am I reading that wrong? That could explain why my Hamachi stopped working... Maybe I had a trial version.
