BW/BW2 The Nuzlocke Challenge Thread

Hey, is it that you can only capture the first pokemon you SEE or the first pokemon you CAPTURE in a route?
 
You can only capture the first Pokemon you see in a route.
The only exception is if you're playing No Duplicates. That rule allows you to skip the first and subsequent encounters if you already have the species that is popping up.
 
Okay, in that case, im taking the challenge!
I'll follow the 2 basic rules.
Wish me luck (starting now will update so often)
 
Eterna Forest: Cheryl and her Chansey joins you at the entrance. You must then escort her to the exit.

Wayward Cave: You must travel through the cave alone to get to Mira. You then escort her and her Kadabra to the way out.

Iron Island: Riley is down one level on B2F. You then travel with him and his Lucario until you meet the Galactic Grunts at the end.

Victory Road: After you beat the Elite Four, come back and meet Marley. You travel to the end of this new section of Victory Road with her and her Arcanine.

Stark Mountain: Buck and his Claydol meet up with you later on in Stark Mountain.

In all cases but the first, you've almost certainly been in the dungeon long enough to encounter at least one Pokemon.

also the really only required example is the first one lol. and again...is it the first fossil you dig up or do you get to dig till you get the one you want? and would that count as the pokemon for oreburgh?
 
You can only revive one Fossil. So you get to basically pick until you find the one you want. It would count as the Pokemon from Oreburgh since that's where you get to nickname it and such.

WOOHOO!! Beat first gym with no deaths so far :D. Just beat Team Plasma and saved Munna. Currently at the Dream Lab, grinding heavily.

When I get White and I progress enough,I think I will do a Nuzlocke on SoulSilver after transferring all my Pokémon.

I just recently started to know about Nuzlockes,and I guess it could be fun to try :p
 
Let me say this now: Unless you want to verge on luck like I do, DO NOT have your pokemon so underleveled. I was just lucky RockBalboa has Thick Fat. And with crits. The first two were easy, but Camerupt and Torkoal... Issue. Anyway, almost lost 4 of my 5 pokemon, but I survived somehow. Anyway, my team.

Beat Fantina, no casualties. Lead with Church every time to get a Hypnosis in. Almost lost him when he couldn't break through confusion, but he held through.
Then I almost lost Donut to my Rival, but he held through as well. Barely. Also captured Belle (Roselia) outside of Hearthome.

Failed horribly at the second gym in White -___- Her Watchog put my whole team to sleep and wrecked them with Retaliate and Crunch...gonna start a new one on my newly arrived White!!!
 
What Level were your Pokemon, slickmario? I probably won't be facing the second Gym in my future Nuzlocke of Black until my Pokemon are at least Lv.20 if not higher.

Also, I didn't know her Watchog knew Rollout...In fact, it can't learn it normally.

They were all in the twenties, the lowest being 22 (Tranquill) and highest was 25 (Pignite). She just kept getting critical hits (four in a row) and putting my Pokemon to sleep. None of them were fast enough -____-

And I meant Retaliate. That's how it beat my Pignite -____-
 
Oh, I see. Pignite is like one of the slowest Starters lol (although they're pretty much all slow...) Servine is the only one that has a faster Base Speed stat...

I'm probably going to be death foddering a useless Pokemon to die to Retaliate. There's just no way around the sheer power of that move.

So on my new nuzlocke i have been having great success (except for the three starly's that i lost before even getting to the first gym lol...i have just pretended that didnt happen). SO i am now at the Eterna Forest...i know im slow iver just been grinding like crazy. I HAVE:

FLUTTER 5 (LOL...almost called him raptorjesus becasue he will be staraptor...buuuut i didnt. staravia now) lvl 21
JETTER (jet'er...idk i couldnt figure out how to write that but buizel) lvl 20

LAMEROCK (geodude...i dont like him) lvl 5 lol

i would have had a kricketot but...SOME STUPID PARTNER (cheryl...) had to critical hit it. im doing insane amounts of grinding for the next gym (grass) and then so i dont have a repeat of last time i faced jupiter (i lost 5 poke OH MY GOD IT WAS BAD)
 
that was the name of my staravia from my first attempt and so in memory i did flutter 2...and then from there it just went up and up lol
