RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

If your Pokemon fulfills all Poke movie conditions, in battles, does it come out with a special little additional animation?

I read about the pokewood animation and is supposed to happen when "A film suceeds even if you perform outside of the script(not using SE attacks all the time)" But I grossed 24.0 Billion pokedollars but still no star on my metagross (traded it over to test.)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

It happens when you get a Strange Ending. An example is selecting "Leave the glasses" or something like that in the Time Machine movie.

No. For example, a Latios caught in B2 could NOT know Tailwind since it is only usable on a Latios that existed in 4th or 3rd gen. You couldn't catch a Metagross in Black and teach it Ice Punch and be OK either. it has to originate from an old game.

I was actually planning on having that Latios with zero tutor moves.
Would it still be illegal?

...anyone?

Click

They don't say pokemon are banned, just tutors and new forms. (lol like you could get Lanorous-T on BW)

I wouldn't see anything wrong with it, but I'd be on the safe side and not use anything from BW2.

All I know is that the Genesect Event is not compatible with BW1.

Have you personally confirmed this? The official site has this quote, as I posted a few hours ago:

To get the Drives, look for a laboratory on a small island in the southeast corner of Unova. Inside, you'll find a Team Plasma scientist eager to battle! Beat the scientist to earn two Drives: in Pokémon Black Version 2 you'll receive the Burn Drive and Shock Drive, and in Pokémon White Version 2 you'll receive the Douse Drive and Chill Drive. If you transfer Genesect into a copy of Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version, the laboratory will be in the same place!

Why specify that BW has the lab if it does nothing?

I meant the wifi event.

Wait, what happens if you try to trade Landorus-T over to BW or a Pokemon with tutor moves? Do they turn into BadEGGs or something? I always thought it was pre-coded in BW or something

No, since every pokemon is programmed to be able to play with every move animation, nothing bad'll happen.

Also, you can't trade form changes.

Is it just me or are the prompts for leaving the Dream World appearing quicker than before? It used to be about 6 minutes before they kicked you out and now it is roughly 2 minutes. I just finished playing the Candle Blow out game and was going to pick my Pokemon as soon as I was done and by the time the game was over 5 prompts had gone by and when I was waiting to the tree to open up the 6th and final one forced me out before I could pick my Pokemon. Just making sure this is not new since before I could max out the data for the day and then go water berries until the time was out. I was trying to max out the data but I ran out of time XD.:) So was making sure they had not changed that. Thanks XD.:)

Did anyone see my question? I am wondering if the time to get out of the DW was shortened when the prompts start appearing. There are 5 regular prompts and the 6th one forces you out. Before it took 6 whole minutes. Last night I got kicked out in about 2 minutes so I was wondering if they changed the time to get out? Thanks XD.:)

Yeah, you can trade tutor moves no problem. Also, if you battle a BW1 against a BW2 game with a Genie-T form, I think the BW1 games show them as the regular Genie. (But they still retain their moves and/or abilities, kinda like Giaritina Origin form, Shaymin sky form, and the Rotom forms in regards to DP communicating with Platinum.)

While playing White 2 last night, I discovered that my team had contracted Pokerus. I immediately took advantage of this and started grinding. So, here's my question- After my Pokemon is cured of Pokerus, will it continue to receive double EVs after every fight?

Yes it will. Which is good. It just won't pass it on to other Pokemon. Also if you put a Pokemon with Pokerus in the PC, it will stay for ever, just incase you didn't know.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

To be specific, the effect of Pokerus on a Pokemon (doubling EVs) is permanent. It would just lose the ability to spread it after 3 days (read: when midnight passes 3 times in your game and that Pokemon remains outside the box). Placing it in the box would freeze the time counter.

Yeah, this. I meant it would stay forever as long as it's in the PC, but if you take it back out it will leave eventually.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

What does the red heart above a Pokemon mean in the Dream World? I know it means 500+ points if it is your own Pokemon. Sometimes I see this after I finish a Mini game. Does it mean I get 40 points instead of 20 points or does it mean something else? Also did you guys figure ot my previous question above? ^^^^. Thanks XD.:)

I always thought it meant it had higher happiness or something...
Also, I don't really go to the Dream World (well, because I can't really) so I don't know about your other question, sorry.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

I don't know what it means for other Pokemon. I do know for a fact that if you get over 500 points in one flawless hour then your Pokemon will have a heart. I am just wondering if the points are doubled if you get it after a mini game. Thanks XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Maybe it indicates how many points the other person got with his/her own Pokemon?

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

No I mean when you finish a mini game. Sometimes a Pokemon shows no heart and if you try hard enough there is a heart but I don't know what triggers it though.:)

Oh, that.
I think it has to do with the score you got on the minigame. The higher your score, the "happier" its speech bubble.
