Well, just throwing ideas out there

After all, Lotic is a bit of a joke deck anyway :p

Don't get me wrong, Milotic isn't a bad deck. It just has way too many counters in the current format for the deck to be good. It is a little bit on the slow side too...

I think you're glorifying it more than it has to be glorified, Gliscor. How many BRs has Milotic taken? How many cities? I'd be surprised if it didn't take one. If you ask me, if it has no potential to win, it's a plain horrible deck. Not to mention, the moment you take a prize (or Dialga G, the biggest meta contender in the entire format will wipe you out), they break the lock. Or, for that matters, people who play Looker's will force you to draw at least 1 card. So, no, I don't think it has ANY potential.

lol on my part, I forgot about taking a prize (xD, my theorymon fails). But yeah, you are right. And remembering the next format with Ampharos coming in and spreading damage on you would break through Milotic anyways. My mistake...

On the side note, noticing how we now have a larger number of members I'll be picking the new Co-Leader soon. If anyone PM's me asking to be a co-leader, they won't be >.<

Well... that's the whole reason I suggested Igglybuff :p

Only problem is keeping it asleep ...

Igglybuff would only be good if your opponent has that card that makes all of your opponent's coin flips tails (i forget it's name), but they would just SSU it or something :p

ya lotic is dead cuz of amphy. Blastigatr barely beat him xD

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

It´s Shiftry. And even then it won´t work, as it only works during the opponent´s turn, not in between turns. IMO, Milotic isn´t a good deck to play. It might be a fun deck to play, but even then.
Anyway, what do you think about Garchomp SV (non-SP)? Will it see play? I see some potential, but I´m not sure.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

Shiftry could be very good with Copycat. Especially after Unown G's rotated. The rotation probably wouldn't get rid of Shiftry, copycat or Dugtrio PL, but Unown G probably would go...>=)

Probably would go? You mean Definitely will go. There is no way Unown G will be surviving the next rotation.

For the Garchomp idea, I really don't think so. Speed Impact will definitely get a huge speed boost with DCE, but that is also the issue. Damage is increased for each energy attached to the Defending Pokemon, not energy card. So with a DCE on the Defending Pokemon, you are already doing a base of 80 damage. Of course, Dragon Intimidation is still in affect so...

What do you guys think about Charizard with Ninetails, Typhlosion, and Rapidash? I think that it would be great because it has drawpower that is fire and has an SP counter that is fire. The only problem is water types...

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

@Gliscor: Actually, DCE isn´t a problem to Garchomp, as you have Dragon Intimidation, that lets YOU choose the energy to return, meaning you´re hitting for a base 100 (120 with E-Belt) with Speed Impact. Besides, Garchomp can also tank with Guard Claw, Nidoqueen, free retreat and possible Lopunny PA or Blissey Pt. That´s why I said it has potential.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

Why Blissey or Lopunny? Nonono. You have Chomp, expert belt, DCE, nidoqueen, pokehealers, and the X. That way, you have 160 HP, reducing damage by 20 and doing 60 at the same time, and then you can slap down pokehealers for some epic heal. Run it with Ampharos Great for some great damage.

PS, thanks for letting me in Gliscor!

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

I know about Dragon Intimidation. I did mention it, which is Garchomp's primary way to play around DCE. The way I usually think of Garchomp is Speed Impact, but of course using Guard Claw w/ techs is also a handy option as well.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

You want to tank with Garchomp and Guard claw, and only speed impact if you can for sure get a KO I think. I would assume that is the way most people play Garchomp but then again that is just how I would play. 1-0-1 queen with 4 pokehealers and then a 2-1-2 Ampharos line.

I don't really have much experience with Garchomp either, so I'll take your side with Guard Claw for being a tank, and Speed Impact for KO's. And Amphy does really help in Garchomp, being able to delay your opponent's energy attachment while damage that Pokemon.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

Right. And the cycle just rinses and repeats. Against like a Rain Dance deck, Garchomp I think has a near auto-win. Because they try to just chunk on energy while taking heavy damage, and if they decide to not attach energy well then they lose...

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

I think that Ampharos might be good, but I like it for pure tanking better. If you add the Lopunny I said, then you get rid of 110 damage per Garchomp WHILE slowing down your opponent. I think that damage doesn´t matter that much with such a defense (as long as you get KOs, of course). IMO, Garchomp has more than one way to be played. I just like the focused tanking better.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

Does anyone else want to try and build a Golem deck with Sandslash?

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

Golem and Sandslash? The deck might be based on luck, since it depends on if and how many Fighting Energy you find in the top five cards of your deck. Plus, you'll also have to run Delcatty to deal with the discard. Finally, Golem needs three energy. You'll have to use DCE to really speed up your energy attachment.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members*

I suppose, but you must admit, pretty fun deck ;)

On a different note: A lot of ppl on my Shuppet thread aren't really on-board with Regice tech. Any reasons why? It's only tested brilliantly for me, and you can even ask Sonic, he's played it a few times...
