I agree with Brawler, I don't think that blaziken is needed in it that much, everything else looks great though, but if dialga is popular you could use it, but I think that dialga doesn't counter luxchomp to specifically target that one deck.

Sorry for not posting for a while, I've has tons of homework this week.

I was thinking of donphan as a setup card for plox, personally for mine I just play shuppet Pt or banette Pt for setup, I was thinking a power card instead of a tech card might work. cya

P.S. there however is a list of deck's I see donphan not doing very well in, so I agree with that statement.

How could donphan setup plox?

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members* *PLEASE check if you are on the inactive list!*

Yeah, Plox is just speeding straight to a Psychic Lock and stuff. I don't really see why Donphan could help Plox, other than just do damage. And if you want damage done with Plox, you have Gallade/Expert Belt increasing the amount of damage Psychic Lock can do.

I, for one, don't think Plox will do as well as it did back in the 07-08 season. Mainly because without DCE/Scramble, Plox can't abuse Call that well.

That's true. It won't be as good (if it were as good, it would be almost the BDIF), but that's a good thing, as now it's more balanced and has new options for techs. Still, I think it will do well (with the right list).

Plox should be better with DCE then Call Energy in energy acceleration, but I haven't tried it just yet. Stills doesn't know what to play for States...

I´ve tested the deck, and generally you´ll want DCE for the T2 Lock, save bad starts. Anyway, DCE still helps, as the simple fact of only needing to 2 energies per Gardevoir is pretty good, and it can make the difference.

Yeah, I agree, a turn 2 lock can cripple some decks and severely slow down others. When I've tested with plox I have yet to get an unown g, baltoy, or azelf start. I run 2 Call and 4 DCE because I get good starts all the time.

IMO, the best number of Calls is 3. At least it works for me.

is collector better than call? personally i think of it as a call on steroids

Pros:
doesnt end your turn
3 instead of 2 basics

Cons:
Supporter
only Pokemon not energies

Running Collector is not a reason for not to run Call. Call can be played on your first turn, preventing donks. Collector will be a possible play, but won´t replace Call at all (nor Roseanne´s for that matter).

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members* *PLEASE check if you are on the inactive list!*

I run both Call and Collector in my deck (usually 3-4 Call, 2-3 Roseanne's, and 1-3 Collector depending on the deck.) So you are almost guaranteed a fast basic setup, and some nice energy attachment.

It depends on the deck. In any case, four Call is mandatory. If you don't play four Call in your deck, you risk getting donked by even such silly things as Uxie LA.

Collector is in some decks better than Roseanne's, but decks with low Energy amounts, like Jumpluff, need Roseanne's. Collector's seemingly best trait is allowing you to provide it with targets for Pokemon Communication (which is easily locked by Spiritomb, warranting Bebe's in my decks over it, if not both).

Collector will never replace Call. Call is just too good.

I am continuing to test decks. I am liking SP a lot more because it is usually consistent. I like Donphan and Jumpluff too though.

Agreed.

SPs are pretty good, but Donphan is going to give them so issues, not to mention Machamp abusing DCE for Hurricane Punch instead of wasting time with Take Out.

Donphan is decent, but I feel it is too easily counterable with its weakness. Jumpluff is pretty solid, although the low HP can get a little scary at times (plus Gengar just eats it alive).

The advantage for SP I see over Donphan is the quickness of setup. SP will usually get setup very fast against Donphan. But once Donphan gets going it's hard to beat. A very interesting matchup.

Donphan setting up? You need a few cards to put the hurt on SPs: Donphan, Phanpy, Fighting Energy, Expert Belt and BTS/Rare Candy (if you go second, otherwise, you don't need it).

That's four-five cards you need to set up. Pokemon Communication can make getting out Donphan a breeze and Uxie/Claydol will net Expert Belt quite easily. I think you underestimate how fast Donphan really is. Unless they're having a bad day or something lol, Donphan is going to be a troublesome matchup. The sad part is that even a Quagsire tech isn't even going to hurt it that much.

RE: The Storms ~ This format is ours! *Always accepting members* *PLEASE check if you are on the inactive list!*

^^Thats true. Because Quagsire will do 60 damage. If Donphan is running like Kingdra, with belts, plus powers, bats, scoops, and turns, Donphan can EASILY one shot Kingdra. The thing like about Donphan is that it can one shot almost every SP pokemon out there(not counting like a special metal'd Dialga G), because it one shots nearly all basics, add a few bats and your ready to go. ANYWAYS, on another note:

Today is my prerelease, followed by a draft. Through a clever little plan I thought of, I will be getting 26 packs, 16 of them HGSS, 10 of them RR, 2 sets of sleeves, 2 promo pichu, and a host of other good trades, ALL FOR $$25!! Its a GOOD DEAL!! So so excited. But from one of the boxes for the birthday draft, my friend Ryan got 10 packs, and he pulled 2 Xs, both of them were Floatzel! Lol.

LOL. I'm not even going to comment.

I just got back from the Prerelease, I got Ampharos Prime (which I traded for a Blissey Prime), Meganium Prime, Donphan Prime and Jumpluff. I went 1-2 though, losing two close games. Not that it doesn't matter.
EDIT- Here's a report of the last match cos it's funny. So basically I'm up and I have an Exeggutor with 7 energy on it. All she has is a Butterfree and I have 2 prizes left. If I KO the thing I win. If I don't she can KO me. So I'm like Eggsplosion 3 heads for the KO. Tails. Tails. Tails. Tails. Tails. Tails. Tails. I just laughed and scooped.
