One last thing about unown g, I've seen it attached to an active quite often against machamp, but, I'm in seniors so...

About RL, Entei/Suciune with Feraligatr could be good. Snipe for 100 each turn, pretty good. But, I hate legends because you need two to play it, you can't play it on your first turn, and can't search it out with call. But getting it out quick and feraligatr you can snipe anything, and you can OHKO a manetric PL if it gets in the way. Looking forward to Laturn Prime too.

Lanturn Prime is great. If only it was already out it'd be a good counter to Donphan in Ampharos...

Hello there everyone, I just joined today. I hope to enjoy myself here, and further my knowledge in the TCG...

So there's finally ways to lock Poke-powers long enough to achieve victory. Actually, I have no clue as to what the Laturn prime does... No clue where to find the translation to change that either.. Unless I'm not looking hard enough. But it still doesn't stop alot of the SP stuff, and I get a little annoyed that they are still able to strong arm themselves through.

To Donphan, I'm surprised how it hasn't been noticed yet. I don't really think it would be that slow with DCE, and against the right matchup it could do tons of damage.

If you're talking about Donphan Prime, I'd be simply amazed if you could explain how DCE helps it at all. Also, it's very overhyped. Have fun trying to charge 3 energy on one just to do 30 more damage and avoid an annoying effect. It doesn't have a way to OHKO anything, but there are better decks that can OHKO it. It gives a couple popular decks a bit of annoying trouble but overall its matchups are not that good.

He was talking about Donphan SW, its Bash in could be interesting on SPs.

Basically Bash In does 70 damage for four (three with DCE) and if the Defending Pokemon has a Poke Tool, it does 130 damage instead. His Rapid Spin does 40 for two, and if you choose to switch him your opponent must switch their active.

@Celebi: Yeah, the Donphan from SW. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that.

It's true that Donphan doesn't have alot of capibilities at OHKO much, however, the speed damage is decent actually... T1 or T2 Donphan prime doing 60 is pretty good in my opinion. It'll hurt the set up process for your oppenent. You could probably find ways to negate or heal off the annoying side affect.

Alone, Donphan Prime just fails. I mean, Dialga G not only reduces the amount of damage he does (SME) but his Time Crystal locks Exoskeleton and Maternal Comfort. So Donphan can't reduce damage or have Nidoqueen heal. Gyarados and Gatr also just wrecks Donphan. With a partner such a Flygon, Donphan would do better seeing how another attack could solve some of his problems.

When RL comes out, (when is that?) I think donphan will die. RL has several beastly water types; Kingdra Prime, Lanturn Prime, ECT that will just kill it. And I agree with you guys, Donphan doesnt really have the power to OHKO most pokemon. Sure agaisnt most electric types it can, but otherwise, your faced with this qustion; "Now what?"

But I mean, 3 for 90 and it CANT use DCE, thats just lame...

When RL comes out, Lanturn will need a good few turns to smack Donphan hard, while he one shots it with ease. Donphan wont be able to survive by itself, thats been easily established. But combined with something, like Flygon, its got some serious staying power. So I think it can win, I really do.

Seth, but Lanturn can use DCE. T2, 50+ then x2 for weakness = OHKO on donphan.

Uh, if I'm going to set up two Stage 1's to make a donk attack good in a donk deck, I think it's time to go back to Kingdra. Sorry guys, but Donphan was dead before it came out.

Donphan SW is okay but I can't think of a single reason why Cursegar with 101 Machamp would be worse than this at anything, and it's better in most ways.

I agree with you there but try telling that to most of the people at my pre-release trading 2 prime lines for 1 donphan prime.
