The Student Lounge Thread

I've met kids who say stuff like, "Yessir, I got straight 'A's last semester, so my pops gave me 50 big ones!" Well, not that verbatim, because it's not the 50s, but I hear that and I'm like, "Yo, if I get anything but straight 'A's, my parents will scream at me for an hour."
You guys do good this quarter? I ended up with my nice 4.0, but I cut it close in Biology, getting away with a 91 thanks to some extra credit that my teacher accidentally gave me.

It's actually required here. We need 3.5 credits of history to graduate, 1 course every year since NM History is just a half semester. As Sophomores, we have a choice between AP European History, World History, or Pre-AP World History.
IDK, the public school system here is awful.
 
New Mexico is really proud of its History or something, I believe I've had like 2-3 New Mexico History classes they are very very common, anyways my grades IDK, lets see.

Design Tech: 100
English 9: 77.60
Geometery: 97
Physics: 82.3
Printmaking: 100
Spanish: 82
US History: 93.73

Hmmm... don't get me wrong, I'm a good student, but the grading system at my current school is really stupid, we have quizzes right? That count for like 50% of our grade, and they are like 8 question. I've literally missed 1 problem on 1 quiz before and had my grade drop a whole letter. I'm leaving next year though, so it will be OK, I'm actually going to a high school at the Santa Fe Community College, where I can take full on college classes, and by the time I graduate, I will have my first 2 years of college complete. Also 6-D my parents get upset too when I don't get straight A's, don't worry you aren't the only one.

I'm in Algebra one so in 2 years (Ninth grade) I'll be in Algebra II.
 
I have a buddy who took both Geometry and Algebra II over the summer, so he's in Pre-Calc as a Freshman. He's Chinese.
Haha.
 
Its not that impressive to be taking Algebra 2 in 9th grade, @glaceon its a good thing you are taking Algebra 1 in 7th so that if you get a grade you dont like you have room to retake. Like me I got a B+ and now I am retaking Geometry in 9th
 
Ya (to the early Algebra not that impressive). I have a friend in Geometry right now.

In English today, we got are HW, then we started 5 min of silent reading. After a half an hour of silent reading, I started my HW. The sub never said silent reading was over.
 
I literally just spent an hour and a half doing an English outline that I had already written out, and just edited it and typed it up.
 
Honors Student + 56 on a math test = XO

Me (Honors student) + 56 on a math test + "crying" = SAFE

Notice the quotes and italics
 
^ I read through that and thought you got +56 on a math test, but then I realized what you were trying to say, It works every time :p
 
Yeah, the fact that I was able to make that post gives it all away. Yeah, I got lucky, and believe me, I have Russian parents. Nuf said.

But yeah, it was stupid too. We had to make a double line graph, i read it wrong and made a double bar, and lost like 33 points, and like 11 points somewhere else
