I expected to be decidedly unimpressed with their effects.
The exact opposite has happened. Those effects are actually really scary.

RE: Yugioh Thread

I already thought of dumb combos.
Use Tefnuit and Su to get into Atum. Atum's effect to get out a Galaxy-Eyes. If you have a Galaxy-Eyes in the graveyard, normal summon Galaxy Knight to revive the Galaxy-Eyes to get into Neo Galaxy-Eyes. Alternatively, you could normal summon Photon Satellite and Xyz into Number 9.

Yah, but awesome! I can't wait to use/get them ^^

RE: Yugioh Thread

To what degree, if at all, do you guys think Galaxy Knight will be limited?

It is only for a Photon deck, or Galaxy deck. So I don't think it will be. Maybe semi-limited.

RE: Yugioh Thread

If Galaxy Knight makes any impact on the metagame, it will be semi limited at most due to the fact that nothing except draw power can add it from your deck to your hand. The main reason why cards are put on the list is because they're flat-out overpowered and/or they're very easy to get, and Galaxy Knight doesn't fit the latter. Not saying it fits the former either, but still. It's a very easy way to get into a rank 8, and makes getting into Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon in a Hieratic deck extremely easy.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Here is a new deck I am working on. Its most likely not that great, but I like fiends. Anyway here is what I have:

Yes, I know its monster heavy.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Well, if you're making Fiends, I'd start by maxing our your Tour Guides.
Or is this an IRL deck?

That is a real life deck. Well, its close. I am missing two giant germ, two hate buster, three dark resonator, two of those police looking fiends, and two grave swarmer.

My spelling sucks XD

RE: Yugioh Thread

Well, if you can get your hands on a 3rd Tour Guide, I'd definitely recommend adding it. I'm not too familiar with Fiend decks...

EDIT: Remember Madolches? That fun deck that you saw every so often?
Yeah, I remember them.
Yeah...about Madolches.

They aren't fun anymore.
Well, at least not for the opponent.

RE: Yugioh Thread

I've got an idea for a tournament!

Each participant in the tournament states an archetype after the bracket has been put together. When everybody has entered, these archetypes are shuffled and randomly distributed to each player. Their deck for the tournament must focus around that archetype. I think it'd give players a lot more insight for the game by allowing them to try playing and facing decks that they haven't seen very much, if at all...and if anybody happens to state a metagame archetype like Inzektors, they could risk getting Harpies against Inzektors or something dumb like that.

What do you guys think of this?

RE: Yugioh Thread

Good idea!
Does the deck have to revolve around that exclusively, or does it just need to utilize it? Also, are we allowed to cross into other archetypes?

I just really hope I get to use Psychics...

RE: Yugioh Thread

As long as the deck clearly focuses on the first archetype. Like, you can run a few Lavals in a Flamvell deck to assist in dumping monsters, for example, but the deck should focus on Flamvells.

Basically every Psychic-type monster has support for Psychics, but I don't think they'd be considered an archetype...

RE: Yugioh Thread

...It acts more like an archetype than an actual type, but I'll let you make the call.

RE: Yugioh Thread

I wouldn't consider it an archetype. Some of them share words in their name, yes, but their support specifically is for Psychic-type monsters, not Psychics with a certain word in their name.

RE: Yugioh Thread

I think it would be too hard to enforce, and where to cut the line.

RE: Yugioh Thread

We could make it so at least 60% of the monster cards in your deck have to consist of monsters from your archetype or something.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Holy cow! I can't wait for Duelist Pack - Kite Tenjo to be released :3 So many good cards!
