RE: Yugioh Thread
Tag duals generally have 16000 LP on both sides.
Team A consists of Player 1 and 2, Team B consists of Player 3 and 4. Whoever wins the RPS goes first, then the opposite player from the other team goes, then your teammate, then the other player.
Example: Player 1 goes first. Player 4 is next, then Player 2, and finally Player 3.
After a player takes a turn, he/she still has control over his/her team's field until the opponent's turn ends. Then, your teammate takes control of your field.
You can't see your partner's hand (so PMing would work well for planning), and any card shuffled into the deck or returned to the hand will return to the hand of the turn player. So if I had 4 Dark World monsters in my graveyard and you had a...Kuriboh to make it 5 and you used Pot of Avarice, everything would go back to your deck. Constellars are particularly deadly in this sense, since Pleiades can bounce anything at any time, which could potentially give the Lightsworn opponent the Grapha that the other opponent possesses, or put an Xyz back into the extra deck of a player who cannot use it.
As for strategies...basically anything that doesn't take over your field works well. Decks like Crystal Beasts, Fire Kings, Fire Fists, and Mecha Phantom Beasts don't work well in tag team...unless your partner is also playing them. Control decks like Cloudians aren't exactly the best choice either, considering that your teammate will have control over your field half of the time, so it might not go over the way you want it to. Generally, "generic" decks work fairly well in tag team, but some changes need to be made to accommodate, like one player using a deck with a lot of traps while his teammate has a deck that doesn't run many traps. It's also important to make sure decks work together--if you play Elemental Dragons and your teammate plays Evilswarms, you're gonna have a bad time. But if you play Elemental Dragons and your teammate focuses on Skill Drain, synergy is natural and will be appreciated. It's really best to discuss with your teammate before the duel actually happens.
