DPPt/HGSS Tossed Masterball at..?

In my SoulSilver, I used it on Mewtwo, I knew he was going to be hard to catch after I tried it on Fire Red. In Platinum, I used it on Giratina, he was SOOO hard. In Pearl, I used it on Mesprit.

My friend just told me he threw his Master Ball at a Ponyta. Then, he restarted and used it on a Growlithe. Both in Crystal.

But the funniest thing, In Ruby, I threw my Master Ball at Groudon and he broke out. ;_; IT WAS A MASTER BALL!!!! I didn't end up catching him. I was young and didn't think about saving before a Legendary battle.

I was at my friend's house and I think we were trying to catch latias in sapphire. I said Use a master ball
and we couldn"t find it so we looked at his PC later and saw that he used it on a Onix lol.

Stupidly used it on Raikou on SS, when I coulda used it on Latios...
Stupidly used it on Kyogre for VGC, ended up not going cause brother didn't want to wait in line....

Now for the worst.

DIALGA!!! It was my first time playing Diamond and I thought Dialga would be hard to catch....
I'm an idiot for that.

I almost never use my Master Ball anymore, it seems. I enjoy catching roaming Legendaries by chasing them down and weakening them, then repeatedly trying to catch them in Dusk / Ultra Balls, so I don't use it on them. I also like the challenge of catching normal Legendaries (though sometimes it's a bit ridiculous), so I don't use it on them, either.

So I pretty much just hold on to the Master Ball for no reason whatsoever. xD I guess the only way I could see myself using it would be if I encountered a wild shining Pokémon that could Roar me away, or something, and I didn't have a Pokémon to stop them from making me unable to catch them.

I'm with Xous though I'll exclude the Lati. Though pretty much after you catch all the legendaries without using a Masterball there's nothing to really use it for other than catching that wayward shiny.

I normally use mine on the main pokemon (Palkia, Dialga, etc.) For Heartgold... I used it on Latias. I threw ball after ball at it and eventually gave up.

In Diamond I threw my Masterball at either Dialga or Giratina or the lake trio only if I can't seem to catch one of them or I kill them over and over.

In diamond I threw it at Azelf, and in Soul Silver I used it on Lugia.

In SS i used it on the annoying ho-oh. In Diamond i used it on Darkrai. Platinum i used it on Cresselia. Emerald i used it on Groudon. Firered i used it a an enemy's gengar (insert fail screaming here). And on Blue i used it on Articuno because i was young and couldnt beat the elite four
