Virizion EX / Genesect EX

Honestly guys, I think you should try playing Tornadus EX. He is really amazing in this deck. The good thing is that Tornadus can still Windfall -or- attack for pretty good damage. With Colress Machine and Emerald Slash, you can power up Jet Blast pretty quickly.

I haven't tried Lugia yet, although I want to, but I don't have any yet. I'll try getting some when the tins come out. In my testing, regular Genesect has kind of been a dead card. It takes too long to power him up and Call For Family is usually unnecessary. I'm going to try Bouffalant instead, and maybe I'll put in some Tropius. I could also try Drifblim since a lot of people have been talking about him.

Also, a secondary attacker is also crucial so that you don't get walled by Latias EX. I know Klingklang is not played as much, but relying on G-Booster solely is not reliable. If it's prized, you can't do anything.

I also run Plasma Frigate in case I come across a fire deck. They're dead cards against other decks, but Victini EX can really ruin your day without it. And in this deck, I think 4 Skyla is a necessity.

VirGen/Driftblim/Lugia made top 8... That's all. I still think Lugia is bad but that's just opinion based right now. I will test!

Yeah and I think what made him able to do so good was the fact there was so many TDK decks and his deck was made to murder it. I also think that TDK might die out a little since it didn't have as much success as expected. But that's a story for another area.

When you Can force 7 prizes and do potentially 200 damage for 1 energy that's super solid. Derail can attack for free a lot of the time with plasma badge variants as well, Henry got matched in the mirror and Drifblims did a good deal vs. the deck that was straight gene/virizion with plasma badge. Attacking for free, attacking for 1 energy, and forcing a 7 prize game is never a bad thing.

You are assuming they don't catcher kill it... In theory your idea works however it doesn't in real life.

It's a neat card, but I don't think it's necessary, and I prefer Skyarrow Bridge. The deck really doesn't need to draw those cards with Tropical Beach. If you have 1 Energy on a Virizion, it can't get much better. Other than maybe benching a few Drifloons. Just run more supporters if you're so worried about drawing dead.

Even if they do catcher kill it you still make them waste a turn of attacking on it (still have to take down 3 other EX's). Plus they use resources to take it down that they won't have for other pokes. I've tested the deck 60+ games vs. plasma and it won 55/60. Tested plasma badge mirror and it won 17/24 games. It works "in real life", as well as in theory :/.

I know it might seem harsh, but it enforces a more competitive environment here. This is meant to purely discuss strategies of the deck in it's best possible state, not what you personally are able to build (don't worry, it's not like I'm mad, just make sure you follow it in the future).

OK so I put in 1 Lugia-EX and 1 Munna in my deck. I have yet to test it like this but I will as soon as I can.

I've tested munna but at times it can be more an inconvenience than a godsend. When you get the heads then they get tails it's really clutch (guessing they don't have keldeo float/switch) but the 2 retreat can be a pain. Especially if you run limited switch options. Not to mention he's a dinky 60hp which is 2 easy snipes for a prize. I'm aware of the 7 prize rule, but lugia is also a thing.

Well I run 3 Switch so that wouldn't be a big issue... I'll admit it reeks against Keldeo/Stone but I'd like to test it to see if I like it.
 
Tropius\VirizionEX\GenesectEX with Skyarrow Bridge is a great combo to for this deck. That with Catchers and Plasma energys + Genesect EX Red Signal, pretty hard to deal with at times. My friend is working on this deck right now and thats what I deal with.

For some reason I'm really just not a big fan of Tropius in this deck...:/
 
Tropius plus a supporter like Juniper/corless/N, you can shuffle through alot of cards Turn one. My friend also has two Silver Bangle in his deck. That plus Tropius second move can hurt alot. My friend will be playing this setup this weekend when we go to a local tournament.

The one thing I don't like about Tropius is this:
Turn 1 Emerald Slash > Tropius

I would rather devote the 3 cards to a more consistent turn 2 Emerald Slash or a more consistent deck overall.
