The reason why I didn't vote for him is because on the slim chance he was if he was mason then I wouldn't want to vote for town and also everyone else was already voting for him.

To be completely fair, d.os., you could have easily said that yesterday. Doubt it would have made some difference, though.

simsands' behavior in D1 and his behavior today are suspicious... but as Athena pointed out, it is quite possible for it to be poor play of a rather inexperienced player. Still, if that's so, why did he insist so much on his reasons? Why did he not try to see the point or at least accept it and forget it? At the time he didn't have any votes on him, so I don't know if he felt any pressure... he was questioned of his thoughts behind his actions, however, and the reaction isn't favorable for him. One could say that he thought accepting the mistake would immediately condemn him and so tried as hard as he could to justify his play.

It's not the best case, but for the time being, it's as good as I can get.

##VOTE: simsands

Yep, I'm the one who replaced Empoleon_master.

Can't give much input tonight as I've come off a 12-hour work shift today, but I'll make up for it tomorrow or later when I get off work in an earlier time. For now, I'll comment on the current discussion about simsands.

I think his concerns stems from what happened in the previous WW game where several people (including myself) were turbolynched without being allowed to get a word of defense in, and it was stated as one of the reasons why the town lost. It's like an unfair trial, you'd only listen to one side of the argument. Or if you were presented a case and take it immediately as fact or at face value, without bothering to check its validity.

Sure, delaying a vote like he did would give a possible accused scum a chance to think up excuses or buy time (several people have used the exact same statement here and in previous WW game), but that counterargument's basis is on something that happened after the fact. I'm sure that if GM Draclord flipped town, we would instead be lamenting that the time that was cut short from the turbolynch was wasted, instead of now saying that the time cut short was necessary to prevent scum from trying to slip away.

But I'm also going to have to say that this way of thinking only works on a 50-50 town-scum chance of the accused person. And in yesterday's exceptional case, GM Draclord was basically 99% scum and 1% town with the compelling slip/evidence. So I'd say that the time cut short yesterday leans more to being necessary rather than wasted.

Which bring us back to simsands, who's saying that GM Draclord should have been given a fair chance to defend himself. Personally as someone who experienced it at least twice, I would agree; SilverSilent's posts are almost all about that thought process since he started playing WW from the previous game; and it's also in the interest of being fair to everyone by thinking along the lines of 'innocent until proven guilty'. HOWEVER, I don't think that such thoughts cannot be applied to what happened to GM Draclord for the reason stated in the previous paragraph.

That's why, for me, simsands's posts and argument is somehow giving off this feeling where he's trying to appear a good person/townie by saying that he's done or is doing a good thing, the good thing referring to him having wanted someone to have had a fair chance to defend himself (GM Draclord in this case).

This is all the thoughts I can share for now as I'll be off for some needed rest.

@Reinforce: The thing is, though, GM DracLord DID have time to defend himself. He made a rather large post and it was full of scummy-sounding stuff, lots of "please believe me and just give me one more day guys" and no substance. So that interpretation of Simisands' actions doesn't really hold water.

Can we have a vote count?
Why yes you may!

Double o Squirtle: 4 [Scattered Mind, Luispipe8, Yeowie, Keeper of Night]
Reinforce: 1 [SilverSilent]
simsands: 3 [Camoclone, Squirtle Squad, Chaos Jackal]
Squirtle Squad: 1 [TheFancyPineapple]
Vom: 1 [simsands]

Not Voting: 7 Vom, Athena, Ice Espeon, double o squirtle, Jabberwock, PMJ, Reinforce

Day ends in ~97 hours.

There are 17 players left in the game, so the majority lynch is 9.

As you were.

If you are a member of the town you don't need to double and triple check your post for mistakes because you have nothing to hide. You can make a post stating something and post a tiny bit of logic to back it up. You don't need to quote everything.

Hey guys. Sorry I've been neglecting this thread. I will still be kinda scarce around here for at least the next few days.

Stop lamenting over Drac; he slipped, end of story. He was a policy lynch that happened to be scum. Had he flipped town, it would still be okay because there was very convincing circumstantial evidence that he was scum.

#Unvote: Reinforce
#Vote: Jabberwock

Jabberwock still hasn't posted so I'm swapping my vote to him for the meantime.

I totally agree with PMJ as well as it's pointless to keep on about the subject as it's been almost two days of us debating over GM? It hasn't really brought up many leads either at this point.

So what are we going to do now guys?

Anyway, #Vote: Yeowie

Random voting go.
*raises eyebrow:*
FYI It is past RVS. And it doesn't work if you tell them it is a random vote.
I'm ever so slightly suspicious about Silver here, why would you just random vote? It seems like you were just trying to keep contributing, which, as far as I know, doesn't work.

Yeowie - Bandwagon twice without doing anything else to contribute. Similar to his play style from last game where he was scum and not similar at all to the game before that when he was town.
You can't say that. I am developing my playstyle to a better state. You can't necessarily compare my playstyle, or any other new person's, to their recent games; because they are still learning. Same goes for me.
On a second note, I've been contributing too. Not just bandwagoning. Your logic isn't quite logical.

#Vote: Jabberwock

Jabberwock still hasn't posted so I'm swapping my vote to him for the meantime.
Just pointing out that he was last on PokéBeach @ midday AEST. He's either lurking or waiting to be m/k'd.

I totally agree with PMJ as well as it's pointless to keep on about the subject as it's been almost two days of us debating over GM? It hasn't really brought up many leads either at this point.
I didn't even see any point in debating over GM in the first place.

What is so wrong about simsands, I don't really understand, can someone paraphrase the discussion on that?

And I'd still like to point out that, as much as Camoclone is a big influence, that doesn't mean we shouldn't vote for him. I haven't picked up much scummy behaviour from him though.
