What are you scared of?

^Again, another case of spider fear, come on guys, all of pokebeach is against me, spiders are NOT scary, you can just squash them like they are nothing...

Anyone else scared of the dark???

I may be scared of spiders; however, I don't prefer squashing them. If I do encounter one, I would take it outside.

To provide what I know to the conversation at hand:

From all the people I've ever met who are afraid of the dark, they aren't really afraid of the dark. Darkness exists everywhere and at anytime. I believe that a fear of the dark is more of a fear of what is hidden by the dark. More of a fear of the unknown, which is technically what darkness could be called. Unknown/uncharted.

/me has a fear of the unknown and not having control over a situation

^Wow, that is kinda what I am afraid, of, I don't like hidden things jumping out at me...

I don't get this, why not just kill them, instead of letting them right back into your house over, and over again...

I have a fear of Mirrors. They freak me out. What sucks is we have 2 huge mirrors in our house and one mirror hidden in my parents closet about 6 feet tall. I also am afraid of hights and I am afraid of other people dying. I am paranoid that if my friends or family leave my sight for enough time, they are dead. I also have a fear of deep water, kind of like hieghts.

I don't like killing things that may be harmless. You can take them far away from the house.

They will just come back, and all spiders have a painful bite, you should try it one day, then see if you want them in your house...+That is just a waste of time...

I have noticed that people hiding in the dark, appear to become something dark, and figurish, so I just punch them... I have punched a few walls, my mom and even my dog, it actually wasn't that fun, I got grounded forever/

Im afraid of the dark and getting fat. Seriously, my body is pretty much the only thing I can sculp to my desire and right now its looking pretty good.

Also its not really the dark itself but what hides behind it. In the last 6 months Ive broken 3 noses because my friends jump at me from behind a corner in the middle of the night -.- I of course pay for the bill but man they are stupid.

Like how these posts kinda proved how its not really the dark itself people are afraid of, just what it hides

I really don't care if they come back.... We all have different ways to reason with these problems.

Yes we all do...

I cannot believe that I can't swim yet, I tried last weekend, and I just floated to the top,and the struggled, and then went under... Good thing that it is only 4.5 feet deep.
I have revised my fear list.

Claustrophobic
Deep water
Rejection
Paintings
White ladies(Pale white, and no this is not racist)
Fear of the unknown
Fear of the hidden things in the unknown
being hit by my friends cello(AKA skewered.)
Octapod/Octopie

I hate it when people come up behind me. It's just really unnerving beacuse you can't see them.

I remembered another of my fears..I am afraid of Crustaceans!

They're all creepy-crawley and gross and they have these weird tentacle things.
And their claws will impale my chest and grab my heart out and eat it....

...I was in Maine earlier this month, and I was standing on a rock in shallow ocean water. My mom
told me to smile for the camera, and I looked and smiled and she took a picture. After the picture, I looked
down at my leg because I felt something funny on it, and this ugly blue crab was climbing it. I freaked out and shook
my leg as hard as I could and jumped onto my sister. 0_0

I'm only not afraid of brine shrimp ^^

I am scared of Neanderthals, even though they died out 30,000 years ago. Whenever I see a picture of those things, I get a nervous breakdown, although I did a project about "Human Evolution" in 5th grade, which included them.

I have a phobia of spiders, heights, mirrors, and round things. That is why i dont play sports. :p

Many types of bugs, especially big ones with many legs... can't tell if they're poisonous or not... definitely scared of bees... heights, the dark and... death... been having recent dreams about my reflection attacking in a decayed form telling me my time's up... I'd shrug it off if it was only once but it's been happening about 2 or 3 times...

Hmmm...spiders, centipedes, bees, open ocean, being stuck in a high place, growing old, etc.

Last year, I was cleaning the apartment that I recently moved into and found a spider as big as my hand. I ended up killing it but it gave me nightmares for months >:<

I'm scared of...

Big dogs (I hate how they jump on you, lick your face, and barking)
Dark (You never know what you'll bump into)
Flies. I'm not sure if that's a fear, because I run when they're nearby. Dirty flies...
Bug bites. One time, I got about 50 or 60 bites. It itched a lot.
The ocean. My jellyfish sting is still healing. It's been four months now...
The undead. (And that means zombies, ghosts, etc.) The thought of being turned into a real zombie...

My biggest fear is that the world's food supply is going to end, or the world will end. o_O
I have more fears...

Big insects, the You Freak Out, You Lose thread, small spiders, haunted houses (I go in scary rides anyway, but real haunted houses freak me out.), and I fear guns, or anything that can destroy a person.

Ok, I'm sorry for posting like this, but I want to keep this thread open. My new fear is about bugs that doesn't bite or sting. I'm not afraid of bugs that can bite or sting for some reason. :/

I have a couple of fears, although they aren't that bad.

I have a fear of heights,
and tight-spaces.
