I hate that trash Pokemon, emphasis on hate. I also hated Muk honestly.
If this gen follows the 5th gen trend we will see a pie pokemon a cleaning sponge pokemon to challenge that trash pokemon from 5th gen. Okay never mind I just hope they make cool ones and not like some of the designs from 5th
Ugh.
Pokemon like Muk and Trubbish are practically my only reason for playing, they're absolutely everything I love most, conceptually and esthetically. Why can't people lay off?
I don't complain about the dozens of foxes, dogs, cats, dragons and dinosaurs that
I find utterly boring and often terrible looking, but heaven forbid they make
one garbage monster - a
classic monster type I
always wanted in pokemon - and half the fandom heaps loathing on it
constantly. Do you have any idea how tiresome that is? If you don't like something, nobody is forcing you to use it or even talk about it. The whole point of pokemon is diversity. To have scary ones, weird ones, cute ones, silly ones, pokemon for every possible taste.
And besides...

WHAT CAN ANYONE POSSIBLY HATE ABOUT THIS?
Maybe read
my review of the garbage line, where I explain many reasons why it fits perfectly in the pokemon world and is, in fact, a well executed design with cultural significance to Japan and even biological believability.
Why WOULDN'T a pie or a sponge make fun pokemon? A balloon made a fun pokemon. Eggs made a fun pokemon. Magnets made a fun pokemon. A
sponge is even an
actual living organism. We already have a coral, we
need a sponge pokemon sooner or later.
I absolutely look forward to sixth gen's object-based creatures more than anything else. They are always clever, iconic and interesting. They always improve the overall selection of pokemon with their bizarre and quirky presence.
It requires actual imagination and effort to turn an inanimate item into a monster. It requires relatively little effort to lift a creature from reality and draw it as a cartoon, like over half the more beloved pokes. Pokemon are, first and foremost,
weird monsters. They don't need to all look like plain birds and lizards.
