What should I play for _________?

@Glaceon What is the meta based upon in MD? In VA I will check out whether LostGar goes on the rise and if it does then I will stick with my Scizor/Umbreon deck, I am a bit undesicive for MD

Event: Regionals (in Norway we it´s like States)

Division: Masters

Metagame: VileGar, LuxChomp, Donphan, SableLock, some Gyarados and Rogue.

What you can play: Donphan/ERL, Machamp SF/Prime, Gyarados w/ Mesprit, LostGar

Actually, I´m mostly thinking of Gyarados. The big problem here is Luxray X.

Event: States
Division: Masters
Metagame: Not entirely positive, I'm assuming Lostgar, Vilegar, and SP varients for the most part.
What you can play: Jumpluff, Charizard, probably Arceus, maybe some Donphan varient without ERL. Dialgachomp may be possible but isn't preferred.

@PokemonPow: I'd definitely go with Gyarados; even though Luxray can do a lot of damage to Gyarados, Gyarados has absolutely no problem recovering and returning with a OHKO. The thing I'd be most wary of though is the Vilegar. If that worries you enough to want to not use Gyarados, go with Lostgar.

@thefleece: MD I suppose is like VA, but Gliscor said no LostGar, so we're lucky for that. I'm running Jumpluff.

^I said that it wasn't metagame yet. I only know of five players running Lostgar.

@SeaLegend: Even though you don't prefer it, go for Dialgachomp. Deafen locks can disrupt Lostgar a good amount, and Time Crystal can help you use your SP engine against Vilegar. If not, then go for Jumpluff. Just watch out for Vilegar.

Event: States
Division: Masters
Metagame: Predominantly SPs, though virtually any good meta deck can show up
What you can play: Regigigas, Blastoise

I'm not exactly a fan of playing popular decks, but I have been running both Regigigas and Blastoise for a long time now. The choice would almost be a no-brainer, but Regigigas has a few problems with Gengar (and even Trainer-lock) that Blastoise doesn't have whatsoever. (Hydro Launcher-Spray Splash, anyone?) For the above reason, Blastoise also does better against Gyarados; however, when it comes to SPs, it's Gigas that really shines as the better matchup. The only real snag is I still need a Kingdra Prime to fully complete my Blastoise deck, but it's always possible to borrow it off someone if I can't get it in time.

Both of these are variants on the decks that I've altered to suit my own needs, and I'm very happy with both of them - they both have great track records. And without revealing too much about the decklists themselves, which do you think I should run?

Event: Regionals
Division: Seniors
Metagame: Lostgar, Vilegar, SP?
What you can play: Chenlock, Sablelock, DialgaChomp, MightyChamp, Gyarados, Tyranitar, BlazeChomp, HoPe

Event: States
Division: Masters
Metagame: VileGar, LostGar, LuxChomp, Gyarados, DialgaChomp and few Champ.
What can I play: Sablock, LoxChomp, LuxChomp, Gyarados, and Tangrowth(FTW!)

@Zangoose: I think Sablelock will be your best bet. Luxchomp, Gyarados, and Dialgachomp have a hard time taking hand disruption early in the game, and Honchkrow should help you deal with Machamp, Vilegar, and potentially Lostgar. If you are able to tech a Blaziken FB into Sablelock (making it somewhat like Chenlock), that'll be even better for the Vilegar/Dialgachomp matchup.

@Glaceon I will probably bring both decks to states and decide there once I observe the decks i nthe area. Like= Loads of trainer lock=Vilepluff. Everything other than trainer lock=Umbreon/Scizor

Event: California States
Division: seinors
Metagame: (gussing) VileGar, LostGar, LuxChomp, Gyarados, DialgaChomp some wierd LostGar counters, and Chenlock.
What can I play: Any meta deck accept LostGar
I am mainly trying to beat LostGar, and LuxChomp.

Actually...
Event: States
Division: Seniors
Metagame: Stallbreon (setup Umbreon, use it to buy enough time to build up a huge clunky attacker), HS Gyarados (slow, but actually hard to beat)
What I can play: BlastGatr, Stallbreon, DialgaChomp (still working on)

More info confirmed about my states

event: states (MN)
division: Seniors
Meta: Lots of BLG. I imagine there'll be some Lostgar as well.
Decks: Anything, really. I prefer not to play tier 1 tho.

masters, ca. What should I play at states?
meta: gyarados, sp, vilegar(likely lostgar now)
what I can run: water with legendary suicune- entei/raikou. Or ampharos/lantun primes combo.

...out of those two, go for Lanturn Prime. The first idea just looks bad...

the water deck runs 2-1-2 blastoise and gatr prime lines, 2 mantine hgss and 1 manaphy MD to search out water pokemon (or legend pieces) 3 indigo's, 2 candies. 2 twins, and 2 blackbelts. since the legends bring them 2 prizes a piece, it's very likely to be a last ditch win every game, but a win nonetheless. I just added a 1-1-1-1 glaceon lv X line just to stop their poke powers. getting glaceon is super slow, so I don't ever focus on that and would only use it if I happen upon it. the amberlamps deck is pretty freaking fast, but Lanturns get revenge KO'd rather easy =/

water is slower, but higher damage, more KO options, and higher HP. electric, as fast as a non SP, non Gyarados deck can be.

Event: States (Oklahoma or Kansas)
Division: Seniors
Meta: Dialgachomp, Sablock, Gyarados, Vilegar, (maybe) Lostgar
What I can play: UmbreTar, Mewperior
