I am rather confident that it will be flying. I can't imagine them making a normal-type evolution look so radically different than eevee. There is no real evidence for any other type. The Dragon/Fighting arguments are stupid and really have nothing going for them.

Exactly. Sorry to those people that think it'll become dragon or fighting, but c'mon guys, it looks nothing like those types. Just because it has fangs doesnt mean it'll become dragon type. I mean how many pokemon with fangs arent dragon types? And i dont even know how some people get the idea of fighting. Im not saying those people are wrong, as we can't really tell yet, but i think its just common sense.

Actually. It isn't quite in dex order. It is in order up to Glaceon and Leafeon, with Glaceon being #471 and Leafeon being #470, and their pokedex spots are switched in the chart presented. If anything, this furthers the theory that the chart is a hint to Sylveon being a Flying type. If Leafeon and Glaceon weren't switched and put into normal dex order like the rest of the eevees, than the charts type effectiveness would be thrown off completely. It would be Fire against Grass, which makes sense. But then it would be Water against Ice, which doesn't make sense, thus I believe they went out of their way to switch them on purpose.
All of the eevees to the right, from Jolteon to Leafeon, are super effective to their left counterparts, from Vaporeon to Sylveon, assuming Sylveon will be Flying to fit this circle.

Also, we have no idea if this will be the only eeveelution in the gen. I wouldnt put it past GF to distract everyone with this new eevee, and then surprise everyone with a second later on. (I would bet money on a Fighting type)
Another also... even if this does turn out to be Normal, no one said Normal would be the one to end all the eeveelutions. Although personally, I think it should, but if they do that, they have to at least make it look remotely like Eevee. (and also, release a Ghost eevee before the end of all Eevees, please?)
 
Man, I wished they did a ground type eeveelution instead. In the TCG, we have one eeveelution of each type, well, water gets two, while fighting, which also includes ground and rock, has yet to get an eeveelution. Metal doesn't have an eeveelution either.

If it were a new type, I'd bet it would tie into the shiny collection in the TCG, and this new type is all the "girly" pokemon lumped together, and the one feature that is in common to this new type is that they all have to have the color pink on most of their bodies.

Curse can't be STAB because it's not an attacking move, it's either a stat rasing move or status afflicting move depending on the type

Pretty sure he was joking. Either way Curse is Ghost now so it doesn't matter.
 
The ???-type doesn't even exist anymore...

Also, I'm trying really hard to not snap and tell people what they are for thinking it may be dragon-type so I don't get banned... but you guys are making it difficult...

At this point it honestly looks like it'll be a Flying type, but I'm still hoping for Fighting.

I'm betting on a Flying or Fighting too. But honestly it looks like another Psychic.
 
guys the ghost/bug jokes are getting a little old

I'm putting my money on Normal or Flying.

I think that it's a normal type. Flying is also possible, but he has no wings.

I never claimed to think it looks like a Grass Pokémon, I only demonstrated that the analogy used by ChillBill was not a very good one.

I agree with D.N.A I can't realistically see it being a dragon type, It doesn't look in the least bit like a dragon. Dragons are fierce and usually have fangs or talons.Sylveon has ribbons and looks adorable. I doubt it's a dragon in my opinion Slyveon is Flying. I'd imagine a normal type eeveelution looking more brownish like eevee and I seriously doubt we'll be getting new types.
