Will we be able to play Pokemon X and Pokemon Y not on the 3DS? Or are they 3DS exclusive?

Yveltal's entire body is Y shaped. Just saying.
Xerneas is the one that doesn't resemble its theme, or at least not from that trailer. And before you guys bring this up, the X's in its (her?) eyes is NOT significant enough, you wouldn't be able to see them well from a complete shot of Xerneas' body. I blame the pose they used in the trailer, its forelegs were too close together making the front of its body look like a Y, if they had it pose with its forelegs spread out (maybe in a sort of pouncing position or something), then it would've looked more like an X.

3DS exclusive. If you don't have one, I highly suggest you save up your money now.

I personally don't think so. They didn't say anything about DS, just 3DS. I could be wrong, of course. Only time will tell.
Yesterday, Nintendo held a special Nintendo Direct presentation specifically to announce a brand new Pokémon game. Launching worldwide (minus a few countries) in October of 2013 is Pokémon X and Y exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
- SourceSo, what does this new announcement mean for the Nintendo 3DS? It practically guarantees its long-term success.
