The Next Rotation

What decks to you think are on the Bubble because of the Beach lost? I am really interested in Dragonite/Garbodor to see if it still works.

RE: BW- On Format Discussion

As for the day two bw-on format I'm not sure it will be top cut, it's more likely going to be a secondary effect for people that don't make top cut (like mtg modern format) so if you don't make top cut you can stil play for extra points/prizes in an extended format. Just my thoughts.

I think the obvious choice for a rotation would be PLS-on. Keeping with the semi-consistent practice of rotating to the first set released the previous year. This would make the most sense as most of the cards in BCR are reprinted and Landorus EX would not be able to reap the rewards of all the fighting support coming out in Furious Fist (at least not in Standard).

The other option would be a rotation to BCR-on. This has some uses as well but is less likely to take place. The benefits would be keeping all Ace Specs and Skyla playable, also giving Landorus EX free reign to run rampant with all the fighting support. I really doubt this would be the rotation but I don't think Landorus EX is such a bad addition to the next format that this rotation is not worth considering

The final and most unconventional rotation I think might take place is to XY-on. Now hold your horses before you start going crazy, this could actually be a potential choice that may make a lot of sense. Considering the fact that we will have Day 2 tournaments in the Extended format this wouldn't be so detrimental to player's collections and it would create an interesting and dynamic Standard format. It would be much slower and very rewarding to skilled players. Regardless of how ludicrous it may sound, it's worth keeping this rotation in the back of our minds.

It's BCR-on with BW55 and on

Wow, that was fast. Well, everyone welcome the BDIF: Landorus/Landorus-EX/Lucario-EX. TT.TT

Which Landorus?

You can change Landorus for Garbodor and make the deck even more OP.

Or you can add both ;). I believe he is talking about Landorous Rising Fist. Pyroar / Charizard still beats the deck if you play Garb.

Why would it?

Btw, I updated the OP.
Because the deck plays a 4-4 Pyroar, 4 Catcher, and 2 Lysandre.

Some of them carry Catchers, some not, because of the nerf. About Lysandre, I can confirm that.

Let me rephrase. Pyroar plays at least 6 cards with a gust of wind like effect. You play a 2-2 Garb.

But remember that 4 of those depend on the coin flip. While they can also be at the Prize Cards.

Pyroar beats Fighting just like it beat Yveltal / Garb. It's at least 70-30 in favor of Pyroar.

I agree about that in the case that a Pyroar/Charizard carries 4 Catchers and 2 Lysandres they have more probs to win, a lot more.

But, what do you mean by "Pyroar beats....",the Deck itself or the Pokémon?

Best Decks in Format Prediction:
Landuros EX/Lucario EX
Pyroar/Big Basics(Mewtwo EX has been seeing some play with him)
Yvetal/Garbodor
Armoatisse/Big Basics
Tyrantrum

I'm pretty confident Virizion/Genesect will still be one of the best decks as well. Seismitoad/Garbodor will probably be up there as well. Hell, pretty much just Garbodor/-insert really good Pokemon that doesn't need abilities- at this point.

I have my doubts about Fighting being BDIF because it relies on having so many things to be able to hit high damage numbers. It just seems clunky. It will be a fantastic deck, but I'm not seeing it being the best.

Dragonite/Garbodor may see a comeback. If it can run beach less. I may try it out with Seismotoad EX as the starter.

I'm not sure why you'd waste your time evolving into that when Seismitoad EX does the same thing, but for less energy. It does less damage too, but I find that trade off to be well worth it.
