@Zenith: I wasn't referring to that, I was more talking about lyrical meaning (like literary devices).
@Typhlosion: A lot of times it's like that, a genre of music will get written off because the people around don't like it. Rap music that is more promoted are usually songs that don't really convey a message, but if you do research into it you find more complete and meaningful artists.

Literary devices are imaginary things created my English teachers to add apparently new layers of meaning to books.

Or maybe they are part of an ancient conspiracy, set up by Aaron Burr before his flight to the South after shooting Alexander Hamilton.

Yeah I took a liking to Lupe Fiasco's 'Hip-Hop has Saved My Life' and it actually is on my iPod.
Haha now I feel like a hypocrite. But the only way to be right is to be corrected is guess.

The Devil Wears Prada's new Zombie EP is amazing, and I like The Word Alive's version of "Heartless." I guess I'm into more punk-screamo. I don't care for rap or hip-hop all that much :p

I just started listening to the word alive and I really like them. They are going to be at warped tour this year, it is going to be awesome.

Any escape the fate fans here? Specifically, Ronnie Radke fans?

Oh yeah for sure. This war is ours was a good enough album, but the new one sucks. But Ronnie is out of jail now and is recording with his new band in Florida. They are called falling in reverse and they said to expect an album in about three month. I am so stoked

Falling Up is back producing a new album, but I guess I'm the only one who cares.

Also TMBG's new album is coming out on April 5.

Can somebody explain to me the appeal of screaming vocals? I just don't get it. I don't like having my ears Stolen.

^Maybe it conveys the feelings of the one who is singing?(Like if there angry with the world or if a date went bad)I don't know,I don't particularly care for it either.Maybe they want the audience to understand their despair and what their going through or just the stress that a human goes through.

Ummm...What?^ screamo isn't like that in general, except the little emocore which everyone confuses as what the whole thing in general. I myself like heavy music, and I do like the screaming so yeah, I like to listen to it. That'd be like why do people listen to rap? I'd rather not hear about some prostitute get slapped or some guy get shot, it just makes no sense, that or hearing some guy try to explain how he'd make love to a woman the whole time.

So far I have been neglecting myself from listening to new thing. I'm currently enjoying the Tron: Legacy Soundtrack and Best Night of My Life by Jamie Foxx, but that's all. I guess I'll have to go on iTunes tonight. >_>
