^and what if they attach 3 energy to Gyarados? And what if they flip heads with Pokemon reversal and knockout your Gliscor Lv.X for 2 prizes?

No strategy is perfect.


Most gyarados decks have only 4 energy at MOST. So even if they did take the time to do that, it would need to be benched and thats where Lux X comes into this. Also, what happens after that gyarados is KO'd? You can recover special energy cards.

And Pokemon Reversal is flippy.

san diego gyarados runs weavile SW. you play 3 darkness in the deck. When a mime comes up just shadow charge. You also play luxray/reversals, so weavile can also help in the gengar matchup

Thats why most run at least 3. Also I have yet to see a gyarados have less than 5. 4 Call Energy and then ushally a dark or Cyclone energy.

Okay, fine. Lets say gyarados has 6 energy in it.

3-4 will be Call (Special)
1-2 will be Cyclone (special)
1 or 2 will be dark (sableye)

Most of those are special energy meaning they cant be recovered. So lets say you can power up 2 gyarados, what happens when those energy hit the discard pile?

Or as I stated in my last post, for my Gliscor deck, I will be doing the "hit and run" tactic. So each turn gyarados will be taking 40 damage or 60 if I have Ebelt.
Gyarados will not survive long enough to attach 3 energy to it. UNLESS its on the bench while being powered up.
Just like they have Pokemon Reversal, I have Luxray GL Lv X. I can drag it up and start wailing on them.

NOw what? Are they going to waste a SSU? Are they going to risk it and HOPE I dont fry them with Flash Impact?

LuxScor (luxray/gliscor) will beast apon gyarados.

That wouldnt be smart on my end.
You could easily just change the decklist a tad just to prove me wrong.

I may not be the sharpest player around, but Im pretty confident in my idea. I know how gyarados works, so I know this should work just as im thinking.

Sure, flipping heads on Reversal will cause problems, but still.

How would I change my list. I would use the same exact list that I havee been testing for 2 months.

Yeah the only way he could change the list is either play 4 looker's or 4 Wager. After 2 looker's it might seem a little suspicious and you could tell he switched.

Gliscor, do you have a bottom piece to Lugia Legend for trade? I might be able to come to league this weekend.

Also, is a Claydol 1-1 line worth running in Gyarados?

That was with the new stuff. Reversals, palmers 4 rescue TSD Combee Regice 1/1 Zelf 1 sprit 1 Uxie. All that stuff with 3 looker.

ANd no Claydol is worthless in Gyarados.

Yeah, your draw power is already still good enough to work without Claydol. I run 4 Felicity's Drawing, one Uxie, and one PONT and the deck works fine. If you I need to discard any other card I don't need it is usually some leftover Sableye for Felicity's.

My Gyarados list (this is what you are talking about, right?) runs 2 Felecity's and a 2-2 Claydol. It helps get to the Pokemon Rescue and Gyarados.

Well then you sir are playing Gdos wrong. It should be 4 Felicities, and no Claydol. If your so bent on playing Claydol, its 1-1.
