Wow, I just looked up my rank....

Out of all the masters in the USA, i am ranked;

386/2877 (Masters)

Not too good, but considering how many Masters in total, thats not too bad either.

EDIT: btw; what are the "grinders" and how do they work? Oh, and where are they?

Ginders is the Last Chance Qualifiers of Worlds, it takes place the day before worlds at worlds and a certain amount(not revealed until about last round of grinders) gets invites

You got me curious as to where I was, and I was amazed to find out I was in 362nd.

lol, the Pokemon website went down for maintenance about a minuet after I posted.

Is leaving tomorrow and won't be online until maybe afternoon.

I tested Sableye Lock and it works pretty well, but I fixed it a little more.

Regionals IDK yet if I'm going but if I go I have some options
CurseGar(failed for me @states but anyone would w/ 3 shiny duskull starts :p
Lady GaGa(i like it but for me a bit inconsistent w/ 8-10 special energy :(
BLG(not doing good but is SO fun to play :)
SableyeLock(might as well mention, probably not)
Jumpluff w/techs(IDK what the techs are but most likely a LuxPluff w/ a possilbe Ape 4 tech for mirror:)

The bigger tournaments are just around the corner, yep.
I dont know if I will be able to go to many at all....
Being my first year in masters roughly, it has been hard.

In fact, my new statment for that is as follows; "Stepping into the masters group is going to hit you like a truck."
Its a huge jump from seniors.


But it still annoys me how some of you, coughGliscorcough were able to just sweep States....
Im doing everything I can.... lol



Using what I know, my deck choices are;
LuxChomp
Gardevoir/Gallade

Im really liking GG. If I start with Spiritomb and a Mesprit LA in hand, it shuts off SP decks for a while.
And as long as GG can survive early game, it will win.


I cant wait for lost link. yes, its increadibly broken.

Absol G will finally see some play. Also, Absol Prime is beastly assuming that translation is correct. If I contact my Japanese teacher, I could find out for sure.

I totally second this. The masters seniors jump is really difficult. A lot of you are doing crazy good, and then others of us(the masters) have trouble doing good at all sometimes. Whatever. And GG has a fantastic SP match up. Sure, they can use trainers, but without their precious Bronzong G, Luxray, Chomp C, and so on, it becomes difficult to win. I made my opponent pass like 5 turns straight because of no powers. Haha.

I am not looking forward to going into masters....
I'm just average(well my record is like good, but i got all my points @BR's so my rating bites :(
Oh well there's one guy who jumped to Masters and had like the same rating I do and is top 25 in NA :)
(hopes trend holds true)
Also I am definitely play lost world decks for first year in masters, that's what i've played in like other card games(removal decks)
So hoping that works.
Also GG has a very good SP matchup, as long as it survives the first two turns it is an Auto-win as far as i'm concerned(if you get something other than tomb/mesprit lock start you are toast IMO)

Wow, after States Regionals happens so quickly. This is my second regionals and I'm thinking of playing Gyarados. Would it be a good idea to play Pluspower? I had a Gyarados deck, dismantled it and when I put it back together I had lost my list and had 4 spots open. I've played it a few times and nothing seems to be missing. Does anyone know any other techs that could be good in Gyarados? Also I'm sad because I still have another year in seniors. Maine has the oddity of having more Juniors than Seniors. So our States had 4 Rounds for Juniors, 6 for Masters, and 3 for Seniors. We had no top cut and only one of the Juniors who played at States is going to be a Senior so we'll still have no one. :(

Yeah I know right?

I go first, with a Spiritomb active and a benched Baltoy right.
I top draw into a Ralts and attach energy to it. I bench a Mesprit LA and darkness grace to claydol.

Their turn. They have no powers and no trainers. All they can do is either cyrus or googleanes. Very little use of the turn.

My turn, googleanes for my second mesprit and bench it. Energy to ralts and darkess grace to evolve it.

They will have to basically pass their 2nd turn as well. Now, by my 3rd turn Im almost fully set up. So I can retreat tomb, and Psychic lock for 60/80 and still no powers.



SP decks like LuxChomp, NEEEEEED their powers.
With powers off, they lose; Flash Bite, Set Up, Bright Look, Healing Breath, Galactic Switch, and Time Walk.

Without all those powers, their consistancy goes WAY down. And in some cases, they are screwed. Without Bright Look, Luxray is just an average pokemon with an average attack.

I have a GG build, but I find getting a consistently good start to be difficult. t3 Psylock is a bit much to ask for every time, but I've had games where I can't get it until T5, that's just way too late. Also, I never have problems playing against GG, sure the loss of Bright Look and Healing Breath Hurts, but it's easy enough to OHKO Gardivour's.

Your playing it wrong haha. PM me for the "right way" to play GG. Because your strategy is no good.
