The Yu-Gi-Oh Thread

RE: Yugioh Thread

No, I mean, I'm talking about the other tin promos...that part was just speculation, wasn't it?

I'm looking at that, I will update with a link.

I have the strangest feeling that I'm getting trolled here...

they were tournament Prizes at comic-con

I work at comic-con

and someone had a white dragon ninja he got out of the tin.

I couldn't tell if he pulled it or if it came as part of the tin because I had to go back to working my station, and I was running late, but it made me want to pick up 2 of the tin if White Dragon Ninjas was guaranteed, and the Point of all of these tins was to make Secret Rare cards more obtainable, so it's still a possibility.

...to be honest, I doubt that. But I have no evidence to prove you wrong, either.

RE: Yugioh Thread

A judge I know informed me of the contents of the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Promos: 2012 Wave 2 Tins". I am just waiting on him for his sources.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Make sure to post it here when you find out; I'd be delighted if Pokebeach actually was the first to reveal some Yu-Gi-Oh news for a change.

RE: Yugioh Thread

How are the Dark World decks, btw? And how expensive are they?

How competitive are Spell Counter decks...because I have some of those cards but I dunno if I wanna invest in them.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Dark World decks aren't top tier (though they're very close), but they did win the biggest tournament in the history of any trading card game, so that has some merit to it.
A decent Dark World deck will cost you about $30, but a competitively viable one (excluding Tour Guides, they're honestly not that good in Dark World anymore) should empty your pockets of about...another $20 or so. Not very expensive at all compared to some other decks out there (*cough1500dollardinorabbitcough*).

I'm gonna be honest; really the only cards involving Spell Counters that have seen play are Crusader of Endymion, Arcanite Magician, and Magical Citadel of Endymion, and for a good reason; they're not very good. Crusader can get to 2500 ATK whenever it wants to, Arcanite is fairly easy to get into and blows up anything, and Citadel is essentially immune to destruction by spell cards.

RE: Yugioh Thread

They're not!? :[ Ok then. I might as well NOT try buying the fourteen-dollar Arcanites then. Crusaders are really expensive. I'm thinking of a Dark World deck right now, because they're cheap but powerful, but I don't wanna steer away from my Spellcasters lol. How are Naturias?

RE: Yugioh Thread

Naturias WERE good. That was the keyword. Well, I don't wanna say they WERE good. They ARE good, but they require a LOT of fine tuning. They can be a bit expensive, so I wouldn't recommend them if you're on a budget. The thing about them is that only a few are honestly good contenders. Zyflair is quite experienced with them, so if you'd like advice, Zy's your guy.

Also, something completely unrelated to Naturias.

Spellbook Library of the Crescent
If you have no "Spellbook" Spell Cards in your Graveyard: Reveal 3 "Spellbook" Spell Cards with different names from your Deck, your opponent randomly adds 1 of them to your hand, and shuffle the rest back into your Deck. You can only activate 1 "Spellbook Library of the Crescent" per turn. You cannot activate any Spell Cards the turn you activate this card, except "Spellbook" Spell Cards.
I've lost faith in Return of the Duelist's TCG exclusives at this point.

its power tool for that archetype, I'm going to grab 3 of the same card.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Alright. I may ask him. Do you recommend Elemental Hero decks? Are they solid in the meta nowadays?

Funny enough E-heroes have always been in the meta, they just evolve to fit the meta

Right now the 3 best versions are:
Hero Beat
Bubble Beat [Hero beat + Bubbleman]
Super Poly
