TCG Fail Moments.

I saw some people trading at my school and here is how it went:

Guy 1: OMG! you have Lux X! I gotta have it!
Guy 2: Umm... I like (forgot what he wanted but it was alot!)
Guy 1: Ok, (they make the trade) they both walk away.

I then go up to Guy 1, and I see "World Championship" written on it,
Guy 1: I got a sweet deal, to make it even better it is a world champion card!

I just say yep, and walk away, secretly laughing

lol

(to make matters worse they were 3rd graders :p)

1 hoppip 6 energy....
I only play 6 energy in the deck....
Was in the final playing for $25 store credit....
Was obviously donked....

a similiar story happened to a friend of mine. He traded this guy for some Roseann's research and a few other pokemon, I think it was cherrim and shaymin. And he traded pretty good for them too. Well, turns out the Rosy's were the Worlds cards and my friend didn't realize until after the trade. Haha. I laughed, and was also disapoint.
 
Epic Deck-Building Fail:

I was playing a guy who ran Gengar. He didn't play any Rare Candy (because his were in other decks) and 3-4 BTS. He forgot to put Haunters in the deck. As I laugh at his ghastly's, I win.

Epic Strategy Fail:

This happened at my league just yesterday. (Literally!) I was playing against Shakespeare (Yes, our very own mod!) with Dark DialgaChomp (Honchkrow G + Dialga G + Garchomp C). He was playing JumpRay. I use Target Attack + Crobat G/Poke'Turn to kill the Hoppips that he kept Benching. After killing all four of them, he uses Night maintenance for 2 {G} Energies and a Hoppip. He uses Roseanne's for the Hoppip and one of the Energies, knowing I have used all of my Poke'Turns. Since it is against my religion to let a hoppip live for one full turn, I retreat Honchkrow to Garchomp C, Energy Gain, DCE, Level Up, Dragon Rush the Hoppip. That's 5/6 of my prizes taken on Hoppips. Next Turn, I KO'd his pitiful little Uxie.

that actually happened to me and my luxpluff deck in the final round at BR

he couldnt get the donk though

lol, at one point during our Battle Roads, there was an epic battle of Hoppip VS. Magikarp. It was SO EPIC.

(Ironically, it was the first round and neither playerr shuffled well, so the other three Magikarps and Hoppips were prized!!!:p)

That makes me want to offer a WC card for a Lux X to a 3rd grader saying it's valuble because it's WC :(
 
At Arceus Prelease, i had a fossil deck

i was beat cause i had two dome fossils, one active, and one one the bench, i only had one kabuto in myy deck, IT WAS PRIZED, i lost by having no pokemon on my bench
 
i was versing a rampardos deck at a ternament wile playing kindra i am belted i knock out his skaull fosil and he flips 15 heads.......

Saw someone playing Kingdra LA vs Rampadonk. Kingdra gets his T1 Dra against a Skull fossil and a benched Unown R, I believe it was. Lone Kingdra. The Kingdra attacks and KO's the fossil, then the fossil player tosses coins...13 heads, Kingdra is KO'd for game.

RE: TCG FML Moments.

A long time ago, in the era of Rocket Returns and FRLG, at my first worlds. After a long battle, he attaches a Double Rainbow to his Rocket's Sneasel EX (whih violates to of DRE's clauses). I was so annoyed when I realised it =S.
 
Im playing palkia lock today, and I Bright Look up my opponent's metagross with a 3 retreat cost. I keep just damaging it slowly with palkia G untill I have enough energy to snipe arount it, because he doesnt have a way to get it to the bench. Then I forget about the body and accidentally KO it, and he proceeds to destroy me. darn. Also with palkia, Im facing flychamp, which is already bad enough as it is, but I also start with azelf with palkia g X prizes. I also failed twice on SSU. darn.
 
Biggest fail moments: 1) The current metagame. We're getting back to EX block level shenanigans here.
2) The way my Charizard deck has been performing. In friendly games, testing, league, it's been doing everything it should and playing very consistently. Tournament game comes up, I draw an opening hand along the lines of Charmander, Charmander, Cyndaquil, Typhlosion, 2xNinetales, Fire Energy, and never get out of it. It's been so bad I dropped from my last BR because I was just so frustrated with A) the deck B) the metagame C) the mean people from out of town who decided to show up and be mean D) the fact that the dealer who was supposed to show up for some old misprints didn't.

Edited. Keep the language down to a minimum.

I remember at city's one year when I wasn't very good. I had buneary LA out and i keep stalling with rest when then i woke up again and then double kicked till I got enough damage to rest again. But I think I lost that battle, but I cant remember.
 
BAD BAD BAD! I want this thread to stay on the first page for a while so guys, keep posting your stories!
 
One day I helped a noob change his Theme deck by adding 2-2 Claydol [SV-GE], his only DCE and his only expert belt. So first match that BR I have to play him. I get an awusome Unown G start. When he flips over his pokemon I see that he has a Baltoy active and a Sableye [SF] benched. So I go first and pass. He then attachs a Specail dark enegy to his baltoy, then ask if he can take it back. Feeling bad for his noobyness I say yes. Here is a list of things he does.
Attach DCE to Baltoy.
Attach Expert belt to Baltoy
Use Spinning Turn [flip 2 for each heads do 20 dammage.]
Gets 2 heads.
Then ask "Ummm...did I do good"

Yeah... This kind of thing happnes alot at BR lol :D
