/me fourths that notion.
Isn't The Offspring working on a new album?

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

* Shadow Arceus fourths that notion.
Wouldn't it be fifth since I said it in my post?
nvm >_>

Has anyone been listening to Deadmau5's album, 4x4=12? I've been enjoying it since it came out! :D Some of the tracks are bad, but the beats are good!

I heard The Script on the radio, their new song is really good. I really love their music. I may have to get it on iTunes once I get some money, or actually buy a CD for once :O

One band that I have been listening to a lot lately has been "Gekkan Pro Bowler". They are a Japanese pop-electronica/happy techno band.

Here are some of their stuff. It's amazing cleaning/doing art/feeling down/waking up music.

"Summer of Love" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is2fAcYEgdA

"Hikari no Hotaru" (Light Firefly) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRk0LAXFP6w

"EYES" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn2uHdNdNqM&feature=related

"School Girl Frequency" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S599UaqLv_Y&feature=related

”Ryusei Dansa” (Meteor Dancer) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nn3X4q17ZIc&feature=related (this is their official music video)

As for me, I like any type of music that either has a nice, catchy beat that I can hum to while working or thought-provoking music that has a creative genius at work behind it. This way, I cover all my basics and appreciate music in its entirety.

I focus mostly on the following: punk, electronica, trance, ambient, J-Pop, K-Pop, C/M-pop (Cantonese/Mandorin), Ska, heavy metal, folk metal death metal, black metal, gothic rock, gothic metal, game music, experimental, jazz, and classical. I also dabble in blues, generic pop, new wave, Eurowave, hip-hop, JHop, Bollywood, swing, blue grass, screamo, nu-metal, folk, Lord of the Rings Metal, gospel, Christian rock, noise, R&B, rapcore, big band, soundtrack, and talking. I believe that covers the basics. I dislike most country music save for Rascal Flatts but even then, I listen to them once in a blue moon. Oh, and I forgot who but I saw some Daft Punk love going on. Count me in on this lovefest that is occurring because I have a lot of it for them.

HAs anyone here heard of the band We Butter The Bread With Butter

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

I wish Weezer wasn't awful. The Blue Album and especially Pinkerton are so wonderful. The rest... bleh.

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

I wish that I wasn't apparently the only They Might Be Giants fan on this entire forum.

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

I like They Might Be Giants.

Your not alone albeit its been forever since I sat down and listened to them.

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

I'm pretty big on music. I like a lot of things. I guess I'll list some.
Animal Collective, The Knife, Fever Ray, Neutral Milk Hotel (My avvy!), Dirty Projectors, Wilco, Beirut, Aram Khachiturian, Jascha Heifetz, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Wax, Dumbfoundead, Aesop Rock, Tobacco, and Sigur Rós.
I think those are the main ones as of recently. Electronica, Alternative, Indie-Everything, Classical, Jazz, Rap, and a little bit of Post-Rock.
I constantly update my bio with what I'm listening to currently (like that week) if y'all are interested.

EDIT: @Zenith: I like They Might Be Giants every time I hear them, I just don't own any or hear them often.

*Cough*
Hi Zenith.

I don't own much of their music, but I would consider myself a fan of theirs.

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

Well, I've moved on more to Show Me the Glorious Death & A Time to Forget.

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

Well, the problem is that there are a lot of people who /like/ TMBG, and will enjoy Them if they hear a song by Them, but don't really listen to Them as one of their main bands.

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

I must say, I think I'm in love with Lil Wayne's song, Bill Gates. I think it is amazing.

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

I like upbeat songs and soft rock, so primarily Owl City, The Ready Set, Bruno Mars, HelloGoodbye, and Relient K (these guys are awesome!)

I also like Weird Al :p

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

@LORDY JONES -- I'm stoked to see another Neutral Milk Hotel fan on the boards. I listened to them all the time a few years ago, but no one I know has ever heard of them.

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

I'm disappointed in most of you for only listening to such cheap music. Your brain will commit suicide one day because it's so sick of hearing that mindless junk.

Orchestral music, now THAT'S where it's at. :p

RE: The PokeBeach Thread of Mucus...erm-Music

Alright guys, we can only listen to classical from now on. Darth Pika has commanded it, and I'm sure you all agree when I say that we care about Darth Pika's opinions.
