I could see it being a Normal-type, but that's mostly because I see it evolving by absorbing a Skitty. It looks like an Eeveelution Skitty to me.

Chespin for some reason reminds me of Legend of Zelda, Fenniken is cute, but kinda bland looking, and Froakie is Ben Franklin.

RE: Your very first shiny! That happened to me, except it was a Sentret. The first shiny I found was a Pidgey in LeafGreen. Then a shiny Starly on Platinum.

RE: 5th Gen fossil Pokemon Almost all of the 'popular' dinosaurs have been used up. Aggron=T-rex, Tropius=long-neck, Grovyle=velociraptor. Horned and armored dinosaurs are really all that's left.

Remember Umbreon? That's a Dark type that evolves through a unique-ish way? Happiness at night. Also, evolution by hatred would drive away the parents with money who will buy the games for their kids because they will think that the games promote animal cruelty.

I got my red Gyrados on Heart Gold after the fourth gym. There's plenty of chronological freedom in the games.

RE: 5th Gen fossil Pokemon A velociraptor would be AWESOME, but that's probably not gonna happen. Grovyle is technically a velociraptor. An anklyosaurus is more plausible than a carnivore.

Pachirisu needs an evolution. It looks like it should evolve.

Give it a Dusk Ball and level it up.

Dusk stone. So unorigianal, but think how impossibly hard it is to make your Pokemon hate you. It can never win or be healed.

I would pick Pokabu, because I like fire types, and because I can remember its name.
